Awhile ago you guys removed boot enchantments because Alacrity was crowding out choices and If I recalled correctly you said you'd work on new boot enchantments and re release them? So what's going on with that?

I loved Zephyr but that's because I only played Udyr and Tryndamere at the time, and lets be honest, they're probably the only two that really used it.

Please bring the boot enchantments back in ARAM. That, Zephyr and Twin Shadows (no, Frost Queen's Claim is NOT a proper replacement).

It is claimed that ARAM is not balanced, and so items like DFG (or BFG, as I first wrote...), Zephyr, Atma's Impaler - hell, even bring back Eleisa's Miracle for the LuLz of it - can have a place there anyway.

I'd like to see them implemented in ARAM only as a trial run. Some fancy named FGM (like "Vanilla" ^^) with all the old items (like, ALL of them) played out on the Howling Abyss would be hilarous to see!

You don't do this game in ARAM? Then you've missed out. :D

It's like the huge audience wave at soccer stadiums: it starts with one randomly flashing for no reason and then another do it shortly after. And another, and another...

It's a stupid game, I know, but you gotta try it sometimes. xD And no, I've never seen it done on any map other than the Howling Abyss.

Best time to do it would be when all 10 or close to it are facing each other (or "sizing up" each other), usually while waiting for the minions to spawn.

Throwing some mastery emotes or the taunt emote is also a good way to get that ball rolling.

It's like a "come at me, bro! look, i don't even need flash!"-statement; a challenging cry, but all in good spirits.

It is ofc. a chance to take, to be the first one to do it. And it's dependant on non-tryharders, because if you do it first, and you get a "wtf dude!?" from a teammate, you know you're in the wrong company. If someone NEED to flash away within the 5 minutes after the minions spawn, they've spectacularly failed their positioning.

P.S. It's not a war; it's a game. ;)

Most APC's can build Lich Bane + Ludens Echo, you'd need Boots of Speed for early and mid game though or you'd be too slow. But depending on the APC, with those two items you won't need boots.

as long as there are item 1001 you will have to get but if there were no an your ms scaled on lvl like Cassiopeia then you dont spend gold on and you can get a 6th item for whatever you need.

Riot has probably been thinking about this a lot. It's definitely something that they "might" do, but it's a big step and they don't want to do something that they regret afterwards because things don't always go as they plan (cough dynamic queue).

I think that a big reason to keep boots would be that you have a choice. A decision to make. Against skillshot champions, you may want to get boots earlier to dodge their attacks. If you're an all in champ fighting another all in champ who both have massive slows, then boots are not as important and can be bought later on.

yes you are right in every way, one of few who think outside of the box. however counter point, if i may... if you want to dodge skill shots you can still get items that increase movement speed. for example item 3113 item 3044 item 3046 item 3800 item 3087 item 3078 item 3142 item 3086 just as you can buy items to slow movements item 3116 item 3143 item 3022 item 3092

righteous glory only gives movement speed when running at champs, so going side to side isnt gonna help you dodge. ohmwrecker would be better when youre near turrets

I do indeed. 4 boots. You are a obviously a Hecarim main, as he's the only one who can use 4 boots properly. You want people to be as immobile as possible so you can dominate. I see right through your tricks.

if NO ONE HAS BOOTS then NO ONE HAS BOOTS the item wouldnt exist. did you read? meaning the lil unicorn boy wouldnt have boots either. then he would have to get his bonus stats from movement speed through runes, other items as i listed above or summoner 6

They've been nerfed to the ground anyway, 10 more movespeed makes little to no difference and the slow resistance is only good if the enemy team has zero hard CC. Even if they don't you're probably better buying boots with actual stats tbh.

Still had great uses for these boots.

Though to be honest i find the existence of item 3117 and item 3009 together just completely useless.

Just get rid of one of them. If your a support main you can just take the boots of mobility (yellow) to do a fast gank or catch up with your team quickly and supports tend to be in specific positions casting spells (support or damage) from far range most likely a 5 second walk for the enemy to even get slightly close to you.

As for tanks you can just rush in and if you have a frozen heart, randuins, sunfire, you can keep on ccing the enemy etc. I do take mobility boots depending on the situation if support or jungler.

But if im top i always take merc treads or boots of swiftness so i can still move fast (not as mobility boots) and not get slowed if in combat.

Mobi's only work out of combat. Swifties work in combat.

So, they are both extremely different despite the same effect.

There is really no point in building it over mercs. item 3009 10 movement speed, 25% Slow resistance. item 3111 25 MR, 30% Tenacity.

Not only do you get a bit of MR from mercs but also it gives a stronger passive.

If your worried about being kited to death by slows then swiftes are still the go to. CC means merc treads are better. However I do prefer merc trends since move speed difference isn't much and it also has gives some early MR.

I believe Boots should be removed entirely. Base move speed should go up each level: +3 @lvl 2 +3 @lvl 3 +4 @lvl 4 +4 @lvl 5 +5 @lvl 6 +6 @lvl 7

Which would bring it to standard Boots +25

Then add the upgraded boot stats into some of the core items for each target buyer and make so that they can only purchase one of those items.

IE: merge item 3031 and item 3006 so that IE gets the bonus 35% atk spd and +20 move speed as well as its other stats. Probably would change the recipe to include some sort of talisman or something.

Extra item could be: Berserker's Talisman +10% atk spd and +10 Move speed @400 gold

which would then combine with @400 gold to be a new cloak (Berserker's Cloak which would replace the Cloak of Agility in the IE recipe) @ 1000 gold (combine cost of 200 gold) which would have +20% Crit, +20% Atk Spd and +15 move speed. IE overall cost would go up to 3800 from 3600 but you save money in the long run cuz you no longer buy berzerker greaves. And then you throw "Limited to 1" on the IE as well.

Just an example of how it might look. I hope they do something like this in Pre-Season 7

They said they may still do something with boot enchants, but the pre-season would be the most likely time for it. Especially now with Worlds right around the corner they're not going to make large changes to the game.
