Top lane solo queue tier list 5.13

Italicized any placements that might shock people for any reason or placements that are mainly due to 5.13 changes, these are purely off my thoughts based on personal experience, talking to high elo players on my FL, and looking at stats

God Tier: Irelia, Wukong, Riven, Rumble, Hecarim

Tier 1: Vladimir, Ryze, Tryndamere, Singed, Gnar, Renekton, Shen, Fiora, Pantheon, Malphite, Nasus, Maokai

Tier 2: Sion, Jax, Fizz, Darius, Jarvan IV, Aatrox, Rengar, Kennen, Gangplank, Poppy, Trundle, Lissandra, Lulu, Garen, Jayce

Tier 3: Olaf, Volibear, Shyvana, Dr. Mundo, Zac, Yorick

Singed is currently bugged and procs. Rylai's for the full 40% slow with Q so I'd put him a tad higher until a bug-fix comes. After the bug-fix, he'd probably be at the bottom of T1.

Even without that he's a better solo queue champ than most of the other people in t1 below him tbh

Rylai's change is still a buff from last patch 15%-20%, all his items got buffed, and he got 2 buffs also

Not to mention the massive buffs to the defense tree means he's a lot tankier

i have won hung amount of game with eve this patch.

i would say

top lane : rumble. vald, heck, irelia, gnar

jungle: eve, shyvana, yi, kayle

mid: so many picks here but i think and like: lux, viktor, velkoz, oriana, brand, ahri

adc: sivir, cait, jinx, vayne, kalista(if you are good with her)

support: soraka, jana, tresh, tham(if you can play him), morg, bard

move wukong down to tier 1. move singed and malphite down to tier 2. move sion and jarvan 4 up to tier 1.

main reasoning is that its too easy to outduel wukong by many other champions, and he outright loses to a lot of tanks in the team setting.

did you see when they picked malphite support? his ultimate was insta flashed and malphite was a non factor, ultimately causing the team to lose.

singed just isn't strong and doesn't accomplish anything, good luck reaching the back line, building ap? you will be focused and denied hard.

sion and jarvan are still quite strong and highly valuble, you didn't give them enough credit.

Singed and Malphite both have 53% win rates

Wukong has the highest win rate out of all top laners since the black cleaver changes, ranging at 54-55% consistently. He's also easy to use and autowins teamfights

Still thinking about j4, he's probably higher than Jax and Sion, just thinking about it. Jax is pretty subpar currently anyway

i too can build a tier list based on win rates, oh look, zed and leblanc! worthless t3 champs!

their solo queue win rate doesn't alter what they can and cant do, these champions are just solo queue cheese, the average players might not know how to handle them, but they do have definite weaknesses to champions with mobility resulting in "why did i pick this champion". even though its 53%, were still going to lose this one.

It's not just their win rates lol, it's the fact that they're very easy to use and can't really be shut down. Both have ways to get farm in almost any lane matchup.

Malphite owns teamfights even when behind and Singed is probably one of the best farmers of top lane, he always catches up even when behind due to his ability to push waves without having to stop moving.

Singed's buffs (particularly his scaling MR buff) means he doesn't autolose vs. mages anymore. Singed can also do a jungle camp and tp back with cloth armor and a flask vs. champions like Riven. All of his items got buffed this patch.

You're seriously underestimating how effective both currently are, especially Singed. Malphite's main downfall is that he's much weaker vs mages, which is why he's lower. But since every team runs an AD carry he's always going to be useful

You're seriously underestimating how effective both currently are, especially Singed.

you can never "catch up" in cs, you can only maintain the gap, it may be easier to farm at the later ranks, but that doesn't stop the opposing laner from taking his cs as well, singed cant apply pressure or kill, he just runs to lane and causes someone to chase, when its so easy to just let him have his farm and lane freeze, and dont distract the map, and suddenly singed brings nothing to the table besides a proxy which we will eventually capitalize on and kill you for. resulting you being minus a team mate later in the game when you cant do much at all in the 5v5.

Singed is bugged though and has a very low play-rate on top of it so I don't think the winrate is indicative of anything. He is stronger but Rylai's giving a whopping 20% slow more than intended is probably the biggest benefit for him.

Wu'Kong is probably the strongest Solo-Que top-laner atm (Irelia being a close second). He scales great into teamfights, snowballs ridiculously well, has good outplay potential/surprise value and has A LOT of damage without being too squishy. I don't think he's actually OP since he does struggle with lane-swaps and needs a lot of gold to truly shine but he's pretty well-rounded overall and the gap closer + ult. makes it hard to kite him (unlike most melees).
