Miss Fortune.

Even with the rework, I don't see her being played in ranked play. She's not much of a hyper carry like other snowballing adc are. Her biggest issue is her ultimate and passive if you ask me. Please remove the fact that minions can stop her passive (so she can trade and run away), and do something with her ultimate. Honestly you need to be hit by a decent amount of bullets for it to do anything, and when you're casting you're a sitting duck asking to be rushed by assassins and what not. Please do something, you nerfed her q size give her something in return!

minions breaking strut is needed. given how fast she is during it she could poke enemy without much retaliation if she could get in rnage and then escape freely.

u AA enemy champ and minions will hit you(ranged ones mainly) breaking strut and giving you vulnerability.

minions breaking it is part of playing her.

No one wants this. Literally this is what every Miss Fortune player have been asking for. They didn't ask for much, but this was still at the top of the list and they didn't even say why they didn't put it in.

Some of the more reasonable Miss Fortune players are indeed asking for it, but they are asking for it at later levels. Many people suggested making it so minions no longer break her passive pass mid game or so (say level 9 or 11), not from level 1.

They did add that if Miss Fortune has a shield, takes damage, and the shield didn't break, she doesn't lose her passive. Considering Bloodthirster is core on her, it was a nice buff.

didnt consider checking this, since it wasnt documented in the patch note. Patch Notes

Fair enough, but this is only really a problem in lane, when in the mid-game onwards minions shouldn't be that relevant when Miss Fortune is chasing a target across a lane, trying to escape through the map or just roaming. Removing the minion-based deactivation at level 9 or a similar amount would allow her passive to feel useful in the mid to late game without being oppressive in the early game.

She just had her slow increased by 75% and she gets a second burst of strut when you activate W. She just got some really massive buffs. I think she's in a good spot.

She's always been in a healthy spot, but the community are sheep and will complain for buffs until she's just broken, overpowered, or overloaded similar to Lux. I've seen really no problems at all and I don't feel like she's inferior to all other ADCs, she actually counters most ADCs if you examine her properly and don't just look at her like her only strength is poking like the community has done, which is completely false

The problem with this line of thinking is the fact that Miss Fortune doesn't do ANYTHING better than any other ADC. She doesn't Poke/split/hyper/bully/utility better with her skills than ANYONE else. Literally, everything she can do is out classed by another ADC. All of Miss Fortune's power comes from the Miss Fortune player, being BETTER than the opposing ADC/Sup, It doesn't come from her Kit, it doesn't come from her skills, it doesn't come from her numbers. It comes from the fact that the people who play MF, are so ingrained with her play style, abilities, and matchups that they simply OUT PLAY their opponents. Because honestly, the only people who regularly play MF are the people who "main" her as their ADC, and its out of loyalty and like of her character. Not her gameplay/kit.

When this is the reason for her success is the lack of play and the only real players being those who main her, it is a problem. Because anyone can pick up Jinx/Vayne/Trist and hypershred carry their team to success. With Miss fortune, your REQUIRED to be good with her to get success. hence her low Play %, and very slightly above average win %.

LaowPing1 votes

This is kind of wrong. Miss Fortune mains aren't the only people who play her. I know people who play MF who don't even main ADC. My main is Jinx and I still play Miss Fortune as a sub. Miss Fortune doesn't "outplay" anyone since she doesn't really have outplay potential in her kit. Her above average win rate is due to her being a good ADC. At first glance she doesn't seem special or powerful since she's really straight forward champion. I think that's why most people think MF is weak, she doesn't have any obvious gimmick, she just hits hard. er early game damage is great and her mid game damage is crazy. She gets hybrid damage just for building raw AD where as a corki or an Ezreal has to sacrifice raw AD in order to go hybrid. Her ult can hit the entire team making her almost impossible to zone out in team fights. I'd rather they keep her simple. If they give her anything besides a quality of life buff (like that change to strut we've been asking for) she would be op.

You know you're right on this forum when you get downvoted. I totally agree with you. A big plus on her kit is how reliable it is. It's nearly impossible to dodge any of her damage or misplace a skillshot.

you have to stop moving to cast your slow, and realisticly, you want to use your W for atk speed and not just to reset your passive because a minion hit you (specially since its sitll gonna hit you again and remove it)

The strut activation from w is useless, since anything that does damage to you hinders it from working in the first place...

Ive been ranting about this rework in this boards and ppl are like downvoting me and stuff....they even put her on lvl 1 tier list.

"Miss Fortune [Tier 1 ADC] - The Miss Fortune rework has definitely made her stronger overall. The fact that she can now access her speed boost via her W is huge, since it gives her both chasing and escaping power vs simply sheer damage."

Chasing Power and escaping power?...Im like...this guy doesnt play her at all....in a way is good, that way ppl are going to pick her and lose badly because you REQUIRED to be good with her, know how to position, manage mana, kite, have stacks of impure so your ult do some damage, etc.

My main problem since her "rework" (the one who removed the AD scale in her ult, and the ap scale on her W) is her W passive...the amount of impure stacks you need to do some damage is really high for an 550 range adc, plus it doesnt scale, its always 6% of her AD and its magic damage, so its really easy to mitigated with some mr.

I would like if her passive its her Impure shots passive, and strut becomes her W, it would make a lot more sense. Maybe like...

  • Passive.... **Shock and Awe: **MF deals 6/10/14% of her ad as bonus damage, stacking to 5 times.

  • W: Strut: ** Passive:** After 5 seconds of not taking direct damage, Miss Fortune gains an additional 25 Movement Speed. This bonus increases by 8 each second up to a maximum bonus of 70. **Active: **Gains 20/30/40/50/60% Attack Speed for the next 6 seconds and grants her twice of her normal ms bonus for 3 seconds.

All of these points are sound, but in this game all negatives.

DragoonRuin4 votes

This is a big problem if you ask me. In all actuality, for 99.44% of game circumstances.

Q - Buff is so situational, that you MIGHT get 1 or 2 of them off during the laning phase, but its definitely not a mechanic that can be counted upon to be available when you need it. Oh almost forgot, they narrowed the bounce cone of Q from 100 deg, to a 60 deg cone, so it's actually harder to get a Q bounce onto the right target now.

W - Applying Strut is basically a no change as well. MF's W is an AS steroid, if your NOT using it to do more damage, you are using it wrong. If you save it to apply strut while running away, you've just done LESS damage during an engage/encounter. Congrats on being a bad ADC.

E - Still underwhelming, still extremely easily avoidable, still roots MF during the cast animation, still has a delay before it shows up, still only applies its slow incrementally in .25 sec intervals.

R - Functionally unchanged for almost all purposes. Its applied stacks of impure shots for a while now so nothing really new with her update.

So basically, after the update, we have Miss Fortune, who plays EXACTLY like old Miss Fortune... except she doesn't have Grievous Wounds, and Q Bounce is harder to hit.

LaowPing1 votes

The Q bounce used to prioritize minions unless the enemy champ had a stack of impure shots. Now it just hits what ever is directly lined up. If there is nothing lined up, the cone widens to find more targets and goes back to the old priority listing. Q was made better.

Problem is, the cone doesn't widen anymore, I've got more MF games than any other champ, now, if there's nothing in that 60 deg initial cone, the Double UP just plops and fizzles to the ground.

LaowPing1 votes

So the priority list is gone now? Weird. Better than having it prioritizing minions I guess.

Remlap12234 votes

I have zero clue why Riot refuses to directly address these problems. As much as the recent patch helped her in QOL, she's still far from being viable. The issue here, like most people said, is that Miss Fortune lacks a niche. Literally every ADC does one of her jobs better. Back when MF had GW, she may have been clunky and extremely hard to play well with how awful her Q was, but she at least had a niche as the anti-healer ADC. She has no niche now. Lane bully? Caitlyn/Sivir do it better. Fast ADC? Vayne/Sivir/Lucian do it better. Hypercarry? Kog'Maw/Vayne/Twitch do it better. AD burst caster? Graves/Lucian/Corki do it better.

Here's how you properly fix MIss Fortune.

  • Remove minion and monster aggro disabling her passive at level 11.

  • Reduce Double Up's cast time with attack speed.

  • Add magic penetration per level of Impure Shots (2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10). Increase the attack speed scaling to 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70%. Revert the cooldown reduction back to 16 seconds. Lower it by one second on damage from basic attacks and Double Up while the active is up.

  • Reduce the scaling of Impure Shots down to 5%, have the scaling increase per level of Bullet Time by 1%, and allow the magic damage to crit.

  • Change Bullet Time's scalings to 60 / 85 / 110. Lower the cooldown to 120 / 105 / 90.

With these changes, you turn Miss Fortune into an ADC unlike any other in League. A burst AD caster lane bully that transitions into a hybrid damage duelist and teamfight ADC late game.

I'm honestly surprised at how small the buffs were for how much power they took away from her kit. MF losing her grievous wounds was pretty huge (that was the only reason why she was good at dueling other ADCs, and made her a very decent counterpick to high sustain comps), her grievous wounds was pretty much the only thing that kept her afloat.

That being said, I am glad that they removed the grievous wounds because it is a bad mechanic and makes it so that sustain has to be overpowered to have even a remote chance of dealing with grievous wounds, but giving her an extremely conditional damage boost (that was actually nerfed to be even more conditional before) and an incredibly laughable buff to her attack speed boost that allows her to get her passive yet again (which she can just immediately lose it from a minion sneezing on her).

Riot should go back to the drawing board on this one, MF is going to need some serious work before she can even remotely be considered a T1 ADC.

Also, the fact that Riot called her a T1 ADC is so unbelievably laughable that it genuinely makes me question if they actually play their own game sometimes.

Yfrappefort3 votes

For some reason, Riot are very afraid to buff Miss Fortune into viability zone. She is still currently outclassed by many other immobile ADC.

At the very least, they should put back the buff she was meant to receive on her W and remove the cancel on the passive from minions. Maybe this would finally help her.

Because right now, the only "buff" she got is the additional bounce damage, witch is incredibly hard to pull off (especially with the reduced cone), and the activation of passive again with W, that instantly get canceled again by any source of damage. They should make the speed buff permanent during the duration of W.

Her E is also very underwhelming. One of her channel has to go. She is already immobile, she does not need two abilities that root her in place.

Not even sure that is worth the removal of grievous wounds. At least before she was great at dueling other ADC with life steal. Now why should we ever pick her?

Allete3 votes

I've won my last 3 ranked games with her against ADCs like Vayne and Kalista. She isn't in as bad of a spot as everyone makes her out to be. If you know how to use her, abuse her extra q damage, and position her ult then she can be really powerful. Also if you find the right supports to match with her like Nami, Blitz, Thresh, etc. and they know what they are doing too then you really shouldn't be in that bad of a spot most of the time.

The one thing I do agree with is that minion damage not being effected after a certain level is a huge thing that has been asked for countless times and would help out if her passive didn't go off because of it after level 9 or 11. Making her W activate her passive right away and using it as an escape has probably only saved me about 2 or 3 times so far (and this was with no minions around going through the jungle). Instead it's basically just like before in team fights but without grievous wounds and only her AS buff.

ABlueQuaker2 votes

It was barely a rework and it was a hard nerf. Grievous wounds was most of her duelling power, and it was completely removed.

Rework? What rework? They didnt change thing... She is a marksman that scale 3 or 4 abilities with AP, only at Teemo's level (that is also classified as a marksman). Her ultimate deals no damage, I mean, you are a ADC that has to build AD and almost all your abilities scale with AP? They didnt reworked her... just a new visual, and new icons... The only need feature was: Passive scaling, Q dealing 150% after the firts target killed, and W giving strut... GG what a rework...

I dont think you understand. This wasn't supposed to be a rework for MF. It was supposed to be just a visual update but they threw in some ability changes too. Some good some bad but this was never supposed to be a rework for her, only Gangplank.

Zair Umbras3 votes

Actually, on her initial release onto the PBE, she showed various changes like her W being up to 70% and shooting off 3 attacks rather than for the full duration. That one never actually made it onto the PBE, however. She didn't really get much in general though. No real buffs unless you consider her Q being more of a lane bully mechanic to be a 'buff' or her E doing its damage 1s quicker with a slight bit more base slow. Overall, she didn't really GAIN anything in team fights. Her W gives her Strut, that... was it. lol.

Krys Star2 votes

Riot hit her hard with their changes. The Q and E changes were great, but removing Grievous Wounds stripped away a lot of dueling power she once had. Now other carries can duel her without a contest because she can no longer shut down their lifesteal/heal. All she has now is a measly aspd buff. Her ult is already very mediocre mid to late game.

Riot wont listen to us though. They never do. Everyone warned them about how much of a heavy impact it'd have on Miss Fortune by removing Grievous Wounds. It was all she really had going for her.

Marthian1 votes

You fire her Q at a minion and run away as it is bouncing to a second target. Not fire Q at minion, wait for it to hit, then run.

Either way, I've played her ranked and got from S2 to G5. Could maybe do more, but don't really feel like it.

Dat q dammage doe thing hits like a truck in lane if you use it right

The problem is, that it requires so much for you to get that 150% Q damage bounce onto a champion.

1 : MF has to be in the right position to Q a minion 2 : A minion has to be with 550 units of MF 3 : Minion has to be within kill range of the Initial Q bounce (which isn't much more than normal AA dmg) 4 : Enemy has to be within a 60 degree cone of the Minion and within 550 yards. (60 deg is NOT very big)

So basically MF has to have great positioning, and the enemy has to be terrible and have ZERO clue how to position in order for MF's Q to land a 150% bounce.

Compared to other ADC's with lane poke, Caitlyn, Varus, Draven, Lucian, Point and Click line pokes that go THROUGH minions, none of the requirements that MF has to deal with

Jinx AoE AA's,

Corki - Point and click Phos Bombs

I'd take more consistent poke/harass, then significantly harder to hit poke/harass.

Hupsis1 votes

All they need to do is make Q prioritize champions.

Would also be cool if Q would continue bouncing if it kills the secondary target.

Jeddy0171 votes

So let me read something for a minute.

Strut :After 5 seconds of not losing health to non-periodic damage, Miss Fortune gains 25 bonus movement speed, which increases by 8 each second up to a maximum of 70 bonus movement speed

MF gains a maximum of 70 move speed. So what if,to minion attacks only, she loses only a percentage of her increased move speed. For example,it could drop from 70 to 50 for 1 minion attack.Yes not theses exact numbers, but you get the idea. This way, minions can still have an impact on her passive, but won't completely negate it with one ranged minion auto attack.

Just an idea someone else probably already thought of.

Zair Umbras1 votes

Her E is applied in 2s rather than 3s.

Lugg1 votes

I completely agree with your assessment of her ult. She is EXTREMELY vulnerable during it. It should do WAY more damage. You know that high risk/high reward thing.

A Cute Butterfly1 votes

I think she got buffed a little bit but I still miss the wider range of her Q bounce. Not used to the 60 degree bounce yet.

Her early game got buffed enough to make AP MF a little stronger so im ok with it.

Pæan1 votes

Her ult is rather lame in any comp that isnt a full wombo combo teamfight where she can just sit there and laugh bullets at us. Any champ with mobility will just sidestep her ult and then smack her in the face until she tries to run.
