@Meddler QOL bard changes that would really help
Okay, to preface, I'm a bard main. His playstyle is amazingly complex and super unique, and I just love playing him. But there are a few things that are really frustrating to deal with (not power issues, necessarily, feel issues) that I've noticed more and more as I play him. I believe the following changes would really help him out as a character.
**1) Make his chimes visible on the minimap through enemy champion portraits. ** This is one of the most annoying things, especially early game; enemy portraits on the minimap are huge, and I often have to manually scroll through the map looking for the first 3 meeps because the jungler/adc/me are blocking them from view. This wouldn't mess up enemy champion portraits; you can still see those super easy. It's really hard, when I go meephunting/warding, to know where they all are when people are in the jungle.
2) Make his shrines more visible in bushes. This one seems to have gotten a lot worse since last patch. When you put W down in a bush, it's really really hard to see, and if you don't have any other vision in the bush, it is literally almost invisible. I've had allied champions run straight by the shrines in bushes without even noticing they are there. This would really help out, because it's usually good to put W in a bush so that enemies can't see it, but I find myself putting them in plain sight because they're just so hard to see in bushes.
3) Give Bard's Q a secondary range indicator. You know how when you cast sion's E, it shows you a little arrow of how far it'll travel after it hits the minion? Or syndra's scatter the weak? Something like that for bard would be extremely useful; it's already a hard enough skill to land, a bit more clarity for the bard player would really go a long way. I have overshot or undershot his Q a lot just because it's super hard to tell how far the range is going to go.
That's pretty much it. I'd also like to see Bard's ult not have such a freakishly long travel time, but that's an issue of power, not usability. Please upvote and comment if you agree with the QoL changes, or if you disagree, please state why. Thanks for your time.
Edit: Thank you guys for such a civil discussion and positive feedback. It's great to see threads where people are nice to eachother and generally civil.
