I love how even pro players in master/challenger exploit certain champions because they are broken as hell. I remember hearing , i forgot his name if its that important just ask and ill find his name, he said specifically that in order to climb, you play a busted op champion, like what. Why. Do. I. Have. To. Play. A. Certain. Champion. To. Win. It is absolute bullshit like my head cant even wrap around how thats setting up a fair game. Oh you dont have X champion, and they do? Ooops sorry you lost.

Playing the champions that are generally stronger make you generally more likely to win, but when it comes down to it, it's the players skill that matters. We've all seen that random Yorick/Urgot/Warwick win a game before

It's not stupid that certain champions are stronger than others. That's literally the point of balancing, it's all about checks and balances with certain niches etc. Some champions are generally better than others because that's the nature of the game. It's stupid when that "generally better than others" becomes "absolutely better than everybody" but that has to happen occasionally considering how nobody is perfect.

So ya, it definitely helps to play champions that are strong in the current meta. That's some pretty obvious stuff. It helps more to play your best champions though. So don't freak out or blow anything out of proportion, this is how games work

Im trying to think of when a champion other than the currently busted op champions, were just as hard to deal with. Cant really recall though

Mundo (who was, in fact, more annoying in lane than Zed is currently)
Darius (that's just a few examples of juggernauts)

To many people: Zed

Old Sion (and I mean really old) and... #LeagueOfKassadin

All of these guys (except Sion/Jax/Kassadin) are fairly recent examples of champions within the past year that were absolutely more broken than the current "broken" champions today. This patch is a fairly good patch when it comes to champion balance.

You can climb using OP champions. It's a common strategy, but to say it's the best or only way to climb is just plain wrong.

There's a guy called justjayce. He's challenger and he pretty much plays... just Jayce . In master/challenger/diamond there are a lot of one-trick ponies. They play one champion, even Urgot , and make it to high elo with their skills, not a busted champion.

There's a lot of champions, especially the new ones, that have specific ways of countering. A lot of low elo players do not grasp this concept easily, so it is easier to abuse that champion and climb.
