Crazy Karthus R rework idea

Old: Karthus channels for 3ish seconds then deals magic damage to all enemy champions. Blockable by spell shields(Sivir E, Banshees Veil) and mitigated by shields(Shen R, Lux W, Morgana E). Does flat damage plus AP scaling.

New: Karthus channels for 3ish seconds then deals magic damage to all enemy champions. The damage ignores spell shields(Sivir E, Banshees Veil) but not normal shields(Shen R, Lux W, Morgana E). Does small flat damage plus missing health that scales on AP(Example being every 100AP does 5% more missing health).

And not part of the R rework idea but how would you as a community feel if his ult dealt magic damage but like fountain laser's "pure damage" goes through invulnerability moves(Kayle R, Kindred R, Taric R) but only if his R would kill them? So a full hp Kayle ulting herself takes no damage but a 10% hp Kayle with her ult would die?

nop, i don't see why he should do %hp damage

the thing he needs is his ulti going through some kind of immunity, but that would be gamebreaking because right now it deals 1k damage x5. So you should reduce the damage of his ulti, followed by the cooldown to allow karthus doing what he should do:help his team.

His R deals 550 plus 60% of his AP at rank 3. He would need over 750 AP to deal 1k damage with his ult BEFORE resistances. Say the ADC has 30% magic damage reduction from runes, masteries, and items If Karthus R would deal 1000 damage it will instead deal 700 damage.

While I do think his ult damage is the last thing to be changed I feel it needs to be tested going through Immunities before nerfing damage to see how it plays out. The %missing health change is there to be a little more thematic in the closer to death you are the more willing your soul is to slip away.

are you insane? there is no way an adc gets 30% damage reduction when karthus has void staff

also, a full build karthus has 800 AP without any other buffs like drake, so you might think again about his ulti damage.
