Trying to level with a new friend, I'm pretending to be "noob" not to be matched with smurfs too (and preventing my friend from being disgusted by the game), yet I'm always matched with some level 15 smurf, with his Plat / Gold / Diamond premade playing things like 
every single game. How is this ok ?
Because no matter how hard you try, you’re skill level still shows through, and the matchmaking system determines you are a smurf. Hence you get matched up against smurfs and full level players.
I dont think there is much match making that goes into it. There just arent many fresh players. Im currently leveling an account, and i was facing smurfs from the start... some of them good, most of them garbage, but smurf accounts none the less. This doesnt change weather i am queued with a fellow friend, a real new player who i actually met the other day, or by myself. Its the same crap.
