Talon Roaming

It may just be that i am bad, but with new Talon i roam A LOT which is good. The issue comes with my constant roaming i naturally begin to fall behind in gold slightly.

So i was thinking, wasn't talon a thief in Noxus before he came to work with Du Cutoux. Could he get a small gold passive on his e or something similar to tfs passive to help him with his constant roaming?

If you roamed and ended up losing too much (gold or tower) from that, then it is a failed roam.

Roams are supposed to yield kills/assists for you and/or snowball other lanes. In the end it's supposed to net you profit. If it doesn't then the roam was bad and you sacrificed leaving your lane to accomplish nothing. Typical risk-reward tbh

Im not saying its MY issue, i usually do pretty decent at cs, i see it being a problem when you want to put a champs strength IN roaming without any compensation to that champ. I suppose assist gold is about worth a wave. But i figured theamatically and from a roaming playstyle itd make sense.

However now that its been a few days talon may be strong if they added that in now that ive seen what he can do

Yeah true a lot of people complain that they put too much power in his E, that it's a little unfair to only have 2 abilities for laning. Which is why I prefer him in the jungle so much now. Even then a double rake + Q + passive + ignite is still very dangerous.

Either way though you shouldn't be losing an entire wave if you've roamed correctly and shoved your minions into the enemy tower. This goes for any mid-lane champion that wants to roam.

Honestly I have no idea how strong talon is. I hear from so many people, high and low elo, that he's garbage or he's really good. I've been checking a lot of challenger streamers and skimming through their games and I often see talon banned so it's kind of frustrating because I can't see any high elo players playing talon. QQ i just want a challenger jg/mid main to play him and see where he stands

I feel like im good when it comes to roaming. I do beleive that talon may be in a SLIGHTLY weak state for the only reason is that i feel his q, w, and r dont provide near enough damage for not having any damage from his e. All other assassins with the exception from a few, (those being ekko and akali) have all 4 abilities that are meant to do damage, and most of the 4 do A LOT of damage.

I feel like talons q is pretty ok, i would like some sort of passive on his e for the reason of a pure mobility move that the only bonus is less cooldown over the walls just feels like they were making it as weak as possible, or maybe they would increase the range of the jump by like 50units just ANYTHING more.

Also his w and r feel really weak in terms of damage right now. The only damage in his kit i feel really relies on you getting his p off.

TLDR: his kit lost a lot of damage for more mobility so it feels like he is slightly behind the other assassins

Hell yes definitely agree with his W and R.

His W is okay, the delay hurts a lot because it leaves you open to get blown up so you have to really play carefully. Damage wise I feel like it doesn't chunk squishies as much as it used to. I could rake with old talon and take 1/3 to 1/2 of a squishie's hp if I was fed. Now it feels like I need at least a Q to get back to that level. Bright side is that it is definitely much much better at clearing waves.

R feels enormously weak. I get they wanted to cut his AOE a bit, but damn sometimes it doesn't even finish off a single target. I feel like they put more emphasis on his passive than his ultimate which is kinda dumb...because an ultimate is.....well it's an ULTIMATE.

Most of the time I feel like I'm using it defensively or finishing off an enemy who's already super low and everything else is on CD. For an ultimate ability, that's so underwhelming. I think they need to add a bit more damage back to it. Maybe keep the AOE damage the same as now, but if you manage to make the blades converge on a single target you should be rewarded with extra damage, because you are taking that risk to de-stealth and put yourself in the enemy's crosshairs. ATM the blade converging just serves as a quality of life change with less damage compared to old talon R

finding a good balance between csing and killing in lane and roaming is good. like for instances i watched a youtube video where this smurf pantheon constantly roamed, got twice as many kills as anyone else and still managed to have the highest cs and most gold. try to be like that pantheon, he doesn't need any gold bonuses, just a good balance of roaming and csing.

If by roaming your team is falling behind in gold--then you probably should be roaming less. If by roaming you're helping your other lanes dominate--then you're playing a more supporting role and helping your team win that way. From what I can tell Talon isn't losing too many games, so I'm not sure he needs help here (& if he got that he'd have to have power pulled elsewhere).
