Scorch rune has potential to add more utility late vs gathering storm.

No one take scorch. The early game damage isn't worth 80-120 late game AP from gathering storm. I think the rune has some potential if some tweaks are made.

If the rune was considered a spell effect, and detonated 3 seconds later than normal, then it would have great synergy with because it would extend the burn another 3 seconds.

It would also work great with conqueror as It can help keep users in combat for 4 seconds. It would also make the damage window for a second hit from possible if the user can charge ludens in 3 seconds.

Little thing like that would add so much customization/ therory crafting to players experience and mke the rune worth picking up ovr gathering storm.

Its the combination of the 20 second CD AND the lack of scaling that makes it bad. If it just did base damage but had a short CD like cheap shot it'd be great, or if it kept the long CD and had scaling then it'd still be worthwhile. But with both of there being on it it's just not worth it.
