For the love of god, kill his fucking brain damaged Q spam that requires zero skill and auto wins lane vs melees if he doesn't get ganked. He is such a binary mess and the counterplay with him is to simply "not die and hope he doesn't ult somewhere else." He's one of the worst designed champions in the game while having one of the potentially coolest themes. Keep his ult, that's interesting and make his passive fall off or give it to him as an active somehow so he can't just keep it on and basically laugh at the idea of you trying to fight him.

He leaves you with almost no options in lane. If you're counter picked by pantheon, the game basically just became rock + paper + scissors and you were paper while he's a fucking chainsaw. The game shouldn't be played like this and I hope you plan on removing this shit.

He's a Diver, and IIRC, he's on the list for champions for a full VGU. I do agree he has an awesome thematic, with an aweful gameplay though!

i have to agree with you. he just has no counterplay in lane.. And honestly theres not a single person that can disagree.

Because traditionally, Pantheon used to be classified as an assassin. But with all the new sub classes riot has come out with, I'm not sure where he fits. I've always considered him more of a fighter myself..

His late game "being shit" is such an overrated farce tbh. He can still solo squishy champions at the end of the game and while he certainly doesn't fall off, it's not the same as him becoming non existent.

And no champion should have a power budget like that. Auto win lane with almost no counterplay while having a weaker late game in exchange is the definition of feast or famine, which isn't good for the game. And when you have a champion with that unhealthy of a kit, I don't understand why riot let's that shit exist.

Yeah he's feast or famine that falls off after 39 minutes. Though he's not such a big issue right now that he deserves to be dropped to shit tier.

Besides, what's the difference in his power budget compared to Darius? They are both strong bullies early game, though Darius has a more noticeable presence late game when fed.

Darius can be played around in lane and his late game is skill based. Bad Darius's will suck late game, good Darius players carry that shit.

He'll most likely be reworked in the Role Update after assassins, that's when they're doing Divers. If I was in charge of design this would be how I'd rework him:

Passive - Unstoppable Stuns are turned into roots, roots are 75% slows, and slows are reduced by 25%. Silences and other CC are unaffected.

Q - Impale Pantheon throws his spear into an enemy champ. Next time he tries to auto attack that target, he will instead tear out the spear, dealing damage. Only one target can be affected at a time.

W - Slashing Strike Pantheon sweeps a cone in front of him with his blade once. This can be reactivated two more times in one second intervals. Will deal 150% damage to enemies with a greater health percentage, increasing by 25% with each strike up to a cap of 200%

E - Vanguard 1st Activation: Pantheon starts building up fervor over a 3 second period. Has to be activated a second time in the next 2 seconds. 2nd Activation: Pantheon uses his fervor to leap to a nearby enemy and dealing damage based on how much he built up. If he built it up fully, it also stuns for 1.25 seconds.

R - Duel to the Death At melee range, Pantheon grabs an enemy, creating a small circle around them. If they leave the circle all bonus armor is removed and they are slowed by 65% for 3 seconds. If they stay in the circle, after 1.5 seconds they will be dealt a finishing blow, dealing missing health damage.

He is not considered an Assassin, but rather an offensive Fighter.
