Real Talk: You're doing a Godlike work for High elo players Meddler
disclaimer: this wall of text is only talking about high elo every statistic here comes from leagueofgraph on diamond+ even if my concern is only master+
The state of the game has massively improved, i can't even tell a number to represent the improvement since the begining of the season because it seems to tend toward infinity
This game right now, the balance of the game in high elo no longer makes you want to stop playing rankeds, i plan to get back to it soon now that i saw games of high elo
Previously you had to ban 20 freaking broken champs that made you not want to play the game anymore, the game was decided in selection, i could look into my team and enemy team and say "we have more broken champs we won" and be right 99% of the time
But now it's different. Aside from
and
who are kept permabanned, we have returned to previous seasons where you banned some broken champs and then you still had a decent chance to win against the others
There isn't a single champion anymore that makes me feel like "WTF IS THIS GET ME OUT OF THIS GAME I DON'T WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE"
Kha'zix and rengar power for example have been reduced massively leaving you a chance to do something
I can buy
as a support against lethality champions, infact every single Sona mains are buying them and replace them by cdr boots if there aren't lethality champions, and this is where i have to thank you a lot for not nerfing ninja tabi i'm eternally thanksful for that because if i kept getting bursted by AD champs easily without being able to buy a decent armor item that doesn't screw my itemization i think i would have continued to not play rankeds
you fixed botlane which was jhin vs varus in every game, now ezreal lucian kog are the top tier but jhin is still played a lot, draven can compete with kog and twitch win rate+pick rate has risen massively since the lethality adc nerf (mf jhin varus) You buffed kalista 1 month ago and now challenger adc mains consider picking her sometimes Botlane is definitly better, also without forgetting that once jinx will be buffed she will comeback to compete against them.
Supports are definitly better than zyra and malz in every game. there used to be a high chance of losing against lethality adc+ zyra/malz/mf . Bond of stone made Tahm kench part of the meta, thresh is on pair with support mages and edge of the night no longer counters him as hard as before, we have thresh/karma/zyra/malz/lulu/tahm kench/janna and i saw a lot of them in many game and of course not forgetting nami who is picked if lulu is banned

Midlane is no longer leblanc vs corki, THANKS FUCKING GOD. ideally i prefer to not destroy champions and now both of them are unplayable but for real playing against them was so exhausting, having 20% of my hp removed for every single R of corki was insane considering the risk he took+mana cost/cd.
i can't think of any mage that isn't in the meta except karthus, and like ryze/lb/kassadin. i legit never saw any mage having troubles since vlad buffs and fizz buffs (well he's an assassin)
That doesn't mean you will see every mages picked with the same amount but this is the point of little buffs like
ult on pbe which i can't understand the overreaction of board on it since it's literally not going to change anything at all in a lux game (except in low elo if you die to her 30 times in a row) those kind of buffs will encourage people to choose other mages instead of spamming always the same one without changing the power of a champion a lot
it doesn't mean that the game is perfectly balanced, but it means that IT'S GOING IN THE GOOD DIRECTION the game is becoming fun again, it's not perfect but it's better All of this because of Meddler understanding which champion should be buffed, and which champion should be nerfed
but you still didn't understand something it seems, and i don't blame you for it because i'm already happy with the current work GAMES END TOO QUICKLY PERIOD average game duration has dropped to 26 min from 28 min in master, and 27/28 min in diamond/plat from 32 min without any changes, it's just that lower elo people are starting to understand that you can finish the game by destroying an inhibitor at 15 min, this is insane before laning phase used to last 20 min.
why is it important? Because it dictates the balance of the game
Instead of increasing game duration you're buffing
and nerfing
by giving her pointless 15 sec cd ult at lvl 16 which she never gets in most of the game and nerfing at lvl 6 her ult cd by adding 45 seconds to it
you need to make 5 man grouping at 10 min stop, you need to add until 20 min in the game damage reduction to towers depending on the numer of champions around
until then thanks for the work, when i read the previous patchs and the current PBE patch, i feel like i'm reading a dota2 patch. Your work is on icefrog's lvl and you're also communicating your ideas with the community unlike him, aatrox is being played in master, cho'gath is being played in master. If you keep up the good work the meta will increase its picks everytime and slowly the balance will stand on a high level
is still strong. It will take more than a damage nerf to make her irrelevant, and most of her damage is in her passive, anyway. When people get used to her again, she'll be top tier pick/ban once more.
