2 diamond 1, 3 master, and a diamond 3 in my game so what's the explination right here beside riot match making?

the problem is that i got carried hard by master tier tf and diamond 1 Reksai, and our master tier ezreal managed to win botlane 1v2 with a thresh trolling and feeding intentionally

My plat scrub self of last season has had the fun of playing against 2 current season solo queue challengers in flex ranked recently (actually beating them in fact), but in theory our flex mmrs were similar.
edit: Digging a bit, it was solo. Interesting. I'm guessing your like 60+% win rate is related so you have a pretty high mmr relatively speaking, and high diamond/master elo hasn't filled out much relatively speaking. The latter means queue times and acceptable mmr differences go up, and the former gets you into that range.

as a silver scrub supp main, i've won lane against diamonds back in pre-season multiple times. and u know what all those diamonds had in common? None of them mained adc or support.

Man, kids playing lol suffer from some kind of inferiority complex or cult to the higher ranked player. There was a game where my whole team was unranked + silvers + lvl 28 riven. We won vs team of diamonds. My team was crying about the unfair matchmaking before the game even started, but I said: Who cares, just play... And we won pretty hard.

Catastrop2 votesI really don't understand why is it that a lot of people seem to think this. While Normals MMR might be worthless, it does in fact exist and affects matchmaking. If it didn't, the new player experience would be an even bigger shitshow than it is.
That aside though, this also happened to someone on my friends list too. Guy's a gold player and ended up laning against a Masters player, watching that lane was just sad.

Venomar2 votesI had a similar issue when the season reset. I was silver last season getting dropped in with plat and diamonds and high golds in my normals. I just kept playing and getting my ass kicked and it evened out after a while.

KilljoyX1 votesI decided to give it minimum until feb. I was D5 50lp at one point. I feel like I'm vs smurfs half the games because even when i do well my plat team mates feed uncontrollably even though they have positive records on champs.
The thing is I know I could go even with them in lane (probably lose in team fights) but it doesn't matter because much like low elo if you have a smurf who understands extending a lead and closing it doesn't matter.
