supports need nerfs badly, itemization is just beyond broken.

Downvote this as much as you want, but you can't deny what this guy's saying. Redemption, Locket and Vow are beyond bs.

Those aren't supports, though. Those are items.

Sadly, supports are often little more than walking inventory slots in this day and age. At least we can use more than just wards now.

This.

We are in a situation where items have more impact then the champion's kit item 3147 item 3107 item 3087 item 3031

Futher more, nerfing supp itemization is a direct nerf for at least one subclass of support, so that would count as a support nerf.

Nah. People who run Redemption don't get 70% win ratios. People who run them generally have high death kdas, lower heals, less raw stats overall.

Sorry. AP is better in almost every situation.

That might be the case, but the issue here is likely shields and possibly heals. It's not CC, it's not skill shot abilites like bard or zilean's ult, and it's not braum leaping in and blocking shots that are the problem.

but he didn't say shields or heals or control mages. He was lazy and ragey and said supports. As a former support main I can tell you that if you don't play the holy trinity of Janna/Soraka/Karma or the DPS supports like Brand/Lux/Sona then you don't climb. And he wasn't even talking about damage. He literally just means shields. He was just hamfisted in his approach which is unfortunate that this many people supported the argument.

They're garbage imo. Teams are perfectly capable of burning right through locket's shield, Vow hurts the support, and Redemption is garbage compared to building AP.

You can't have your cake and eat it: People aren't complaining about other active items that have a 2.5 sec duration, or skills that last that long. But you're complaining about a 2.5 second shield.

item 3153 3 Sec no real escape when used right, steals huge chunk of life in addition to being a massive slow, and a reliable HP % chunk item. item 3814 7 Seconds item 3193 4 Seconds item 3800 4 sec 75% move speed boost item 3040 Often bigger shield than Locket, and 3 seconds item 3053 No active needed, creates insane AD in only 2 items with item 3078 3 Seconds. item 3157 2.5 Seconds

All the while..... TahmKench ..... gets a shield and HP boost stronger than any of them considering his build, access to % damage, and impossible 1v1 presence.

Thresh got nerfed in-directly with the item 3302 nerf. Since now ranged attacks only heal the nearby ally for 50% of it's normal amount and Thresh is ranged.

AD in general just needs a nerf, even fighters are bursting supports like assasins used to in seasons past and it's ridiculous. I shouldnt be playing a mage supp with hourglass and be getting 4hit from jax/panth/jarvan/shyvana. Supports do not need a nerf.

gut supports if you're nerfing duskblade

:]

FOR JUSTICE2 votes

but wouldn't we be right back to square 1?

Ahristocats4 votes

define square 1

if riot wants less damage on assassins i'm sorry but we have to nerf supports who are VERY GREAT already at protecting

FOR JUSTICE4 votes

I mean, right now they want to nerf AD assasins right? so they lower duskblade damage.

if they nerf support champs or items, now we're right back to the problem riot is trying to fix.

Ahristocats4 votes

No

because duskblade doesn't only deal damage against adcs/supports

Gut Supports.

Hey why not just go back to Season 1 period! I don't care if you've had a bad day, Supports aren't the problem. 4 supports are the problem, stop crying and use a scalpel rather than an axe.

Yeah? Tell me how Zilean, Bard, and Morg are ruining the game.

Sun Wu Ryuumoku1 votes

i won't explain it whole, cause it take too much time. But u shouldn't look supp role with this pov. Support is the second most mobile role in the game (only second to jng), and when supp are strong it directly impact the bot. Mean when supp are strong adc will look stronger. Support were balanced around low income... should i go deeper ???

I love the League community. "No one wants to play supports because they feel useless". Riot makes them important, "gut Supports".

RenownedWheat422 votes

Which supp/items are the problem and what fix do you think is necessary?

Supports as a whole aren't a problem.

Pokemonred2001 votes

They could nerf the item and buff the ad assassins that use it that the champs don't become overbearing because of the fact that Duskblade exists when either the item or the champ is doing well (looking at you, Khazix).

I'd welcome the change, since item 3142 seems underwhelming when compared to item 3147 a lot of the time nowadays.
