Taric is just not fun to play?

I really have hated ever since his rework. He's just become so boring and generic and pretty much every tank can do his job better then he can. If you need aggressive engage, you would be better to pick and if you want more defensive, you would pick . Sure, Braum can't heal your ADC but the heal amount on Taric's Q is so pathetic anyway, there is very little reason to use it.

I just completely do not understand where Riot was going with the rework because he just does not have a niche that he can fit into. His stun is now completely unreliable, which instantly makes him less viable then champs like and his ultimate, although powerful at the right time, really doesn't feel like it belongs in his kit.

I just cannot see what the niche is for him and considering he's never really picked that much, either in ranked or LCS, then should we consider this rework as failure?
