Tell me if I'm wrong, but they are all ADC hybrids who have potential to build full AP, yet Kai sa works really well with AP, while AP Lucian was gutted years ago.
Riot constantly balances Lucian for ADC and ignores his AP kit.
My hope with this post is that riot will look at Lucian and MF outside of the role of ADC and look at them as Hybrids as well.
Jbels7 votesClearly you don't seem to remember the days when MF's E had 300 FUCKING BASE DAMAGE IN ADDITION TO HER AP SCALING. It was so fun getting chunked like crazy by a spell that could single-handedly proc Tlords, synergized with Liandries, and was an excellent catching tool.

Ruin Lance2 votesbecause AP lucian and mf are completely different than ap kai'sa. There is nothing healthy or interactive by being constantly e'd by miss fortune from 1000 range.
Also I can tell you AP kai'sa won't be viable. on-hit with like guinsoo's and maybe nashor's or something will be viable though.
Kaioko2 votesYou're comparing champions that are so fundamentally different. Also Kai Sa is on an hit champion. Even if she wants to go heavy AP she still needs Nashor's and Guinsoo to be viable. Have you actually played her on the PBE? She's more similar to Varus than anything else.

They have different buils paths because they don't have the one build path that is always to go with that will be the strongest like for example 
who always builds critical strike, a champion who only has one build path, and the only one that is strongest on her.
Where as for hybrid champions their build path strength is divided into AP, On-Hit, and AD, all equally strong but not too strong.
