Now that we can't build double tear anymore, can we finally rework murumana?
Because only one champ builds. Like if that's not a good enough reason, IDK what is.

Seriously this. Why build the first two items when Iceborn functionally covers what those two do with the addition of armor?
Also if we're talking about reworking it, I suggest a mana burn or mana steal mechanic.

I've been thinking of a manaburn effect too, but wonder about viability against CD and energy based champs.
I think Riot has explicitly talked about not including mana burn. idk if they would now.

not a fan of mechanics like those for the same reason riot explained, it doesn't work vs mages because they got a ton of mana but it screws over tanks, bruisers and juggernauts as they don't build mana
I dream of one day running on hit

Back before Urgot was reworked, id run Muramana then full lethality on him. Easiest Penta kills to get ever, literally 3 Qs could kill someone (the q has a .5 second cd im pretty sure, were also point and click with long range).
Unfortunately he doesn't really need to build mana anymore, now that they made his W a 0 cost toggle at max rank.
it's only really built otherwise on like... aram varus now maybe? i think a partial issue with it is that its stats usually only really benefit ADCs, but any of them which really have mana problems either 1: don't really synergize with the passives all too well or 2: would much rather build essence reaver unconditionally (ie: lucian likes the item better overall + prefers crit usually as opposed to the onhit damage, sivir'd really like to faceroll her abilities all the time but crit's core and this item gives cdr in addition to it so why not pick it up)
but i'm just shootin' shit, maybe this item is secretly a hidden op soon to be freelo korean pick and i just don't understand because my elo barrier blocks 80% of my brain functionality
Honestly they just should just Give Ezreal a Passive similar to the Muramana item. Where landing abilities grants him stacks, at X stacks he gains X AD and applies X On-Hit Damage at max stacks.
Because idk having this item where only he benefits from it just sucks. I do feel concerned in terms of what direction they would go with it, I do hope they won't ruin it more then they have with Wit's End.
Completely agree. Literally no ad champ has a use for this item in their core build lmao
Yeah I try to take it on Jayce because I love Manamune, but it just makes you so far behind to where you're useless until its 40 minutes into the game and youre full build
I wonder if they can do something crazy like with Season 3's Spirit of the Lizard Elder where it dealt true damage upon physical spells (that is once the tear is fully charged).
Muramana can't compete with crit due to having lower AD, and its on-hit doesn't scale with crit but heavily relies on armor penetration. But it's also an item that can be built by ranged and melee champions due to the mass appeal of mana, and spammable spells.
The reason it's so strong on Ezreal is because he can proc the passive multiple times very easily without autoattacking. I believe a good way to fix the item would be to rework the passive to spend less mana, deal less damage, and apply to all physical damage attacks and spells, including AoE (but only once for DoT). This would make the item more attractive for the AD casters it's meant to be used with, such as Gangplank, Jayce, and Varus.
