here are some thoughts on what to build

(i love having mana, and i play relatively safe and farm until i get this) (moar AP never hurts) (magic pen is always good) (lichbane is more for burst while nashor's is for better sustained damage/maxed cdr. never both though) (armor+active is a must) (i feel the runes i chose and void staff give me plenty of magic penetration in order to justify building this over sorc) (not too sure about this, as i havent gotten to a point where i can test it, but i assume its good)

another possible build would be

for runes on my AP champions i tend to run

9x scaling cdr glyphs 9x magic pen marks 9x scaling health seals 3x magic pen quints

the runes maximize my magic pen and CDR(with the completion of a cdr item)

the first build is for outright bursting a target as quickly as possible and getting out, the second build is more for a utility/tanky ap bruiser.

im just curious, because i honestly do not know.... but shouldnt this post be on the PBE... because ekko isnt live yet, so no one on these boards can play him yet?

I don't really think Ekko's spells have a short enough CD to really make good use of Luden's. Looking at his kit you would probably want either AP/AS build or full damage build.

I honestly thought Ekko was going to be more of a fighter until I saw his AP ratios and his voice overs.

No, no, no... You're building him all wrong. He's a mana hog yes, but build him like you would build Katarina. Best way to build him to maximize his damage is like this: item 1056 item 1076 > item 3285 > item 3259 > item 3078 > item 3165 > item 3115 > item 3089 with AP pen/ AP / MR / Armor runes. I cleared three pentas with that build in one ranked game on PBE.
