The Removal of Banner has Made the Bronze Hellscape Even Worse

Hey!

I hope your Friday is going well. I wanted to drop my 2 cents into this wishing well of game feedback and say that, as someone in Bronze who attempts to do everything in his power to carry the match, the removal of Banner has made playing there infinitely worse.

I used to be able to wriggle out from the snowball death grip of the Trynd/Darius/Yauso combo by subtly running a Siege minion up the bot lane, but now I've got no options. That didn't always work, but if they were KDA-happy rage warriors who didn't look at the map, it relieved enough pressure to give us a shot.

To be clear: I mean that pre-reworked one as well. The shift away from AP didn't do anything for me. Anyway, just a bronzie explaining to Riot-folk how the other half lives.

If you can't get out of bronze because of one item. Then you deserve to stay bronze.

Well, hopefully, Riot would (re)learn how stupid snowballing is and do something about it.

That won't discourage kills; people still snowball backwards. But it is a start.

Tough shit. We're the majority and we retain all the trash that fell out of the other brackets. I don't care about anything above silver.

Like you said. Tough shit. Riot does not balance the game around bronze nor Silver or Gold.

You had the entire weeks that the rework existed to climb out. I didn't abuse it because I, as a toplaner, hated the bloody thing for how cheap and abusable it was in general (Lets not forget the initial reworked damage reduction stat of a whopping 70%).

Simply rush it and by the time it is finished, your opposing laner still has components. Whats even worse is that if you played a durable frontline tank, you were literally forced to buy this to counter banner abusing users in toplane or you'd never kill the bloody thing in time to minimize the damage it shredded off of your turret.

The "Banner" meta as it should be called was less about mechanics, and more about who had the most people that could abuse it. Getting through tiers should be a sign of improving, not riding a busted change all the way till it gets removed.
