Taric needs a friend

Similar to the Mordekaiser rework, his W needs another champion for his kit to be used to its fullest. But unlike Mordekaiser, it is not as much of a hinderance in that it is a BONUS when bonded not a REDUCTION when not. However, just as Kalista needs her bond to be near her to get full use of her kit, Taric needs a friend as well to reach his full potential (Mordekaiser got some patch love and now can cast W on minions). I have to say that I can't fully support his W since it "forces him into a duo lane or requires the Jungler to get a tent", but the rest of his kit looks decent enough.

Quick 2 questions, I can't discern from the video if Taric or his bonded friend need to be stationary for his ult (like a channel) or is it a click and wait (similar to kindred's). Also can it affect allied minions because then sieging a tower would be ridiculously overpowered (from what I got the ult at least lasts for 2 seconds which is more than enough for 5 people to destroy a tower in the mid game especially if minions also are affected)?

Taric was made and is balanced around being a support... you can still use your W on yourself so the most you are losing in a solo lane is the extra range your allies can give you and since both spells won't stack (aka you won't get healed double or be able to increase damage of spells)

There is nothing unlike Kalista and Morde that are essentially weaker if they don't have a buddy around them, Taric just gets a bonus if he has an ally nearby but isn't weaker if he is by himself
