The reason why a Banshee-Abyssal-Gunblade-Mercs Katarina is able to outburst a Sorcs-Morello-Void-Liandry Syndra in 1v1 is beyond me. And yes, i've just had a game where it happened and it was ridiculous to see.

If the fight lasts long enough an assassin with zero damage can kill someone. It’s ridiculous but true.
Seviel Vorose1 votesTo be honest, the only difference between an assassin and a burst mage is that the assassin is designed to infiltrate the backline with high mobility and kill his priority target, while burst mages have to find the right opportunity to do their job from a distance. If a burst mage like Syndra builds like that Katarina, she isn't going to do much while staying immobile. Why is the Katarina allowed to output an amount of damage enough to kill a squishy while having a full tank item, a defensive item and only one damage item? It's just stupid.

Also, squishies are called squishies because anyone can kill them. They die easily.

Katarina IS a squishy. And yet, that build allowed her to survive a full damage squishy and kill her. So this means that defense > damage in League of Legends for anyone that doesn't need to be a glass cannon to do something?

She had a banshee and a gunblade. Those alone already negate one ability and give her sustain to fight others.
In theory she never took your full combo because banshees made it null and void. We’d need to see a replay to get the full story.
