To be completely honest, HIGH Bronze is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be...

Don't get me wrong, we still have our fair share of Bronze plebs, but most of the people in Bronze 1 and 2 are former low Silver players that just can't get out of this elo, and have been stuck here for years.

Our game knowledge rivals that of a mid Gold or possibly even low Plat in most cases, but our mechanics and decision making are lacking, which is what is ultimately keeping us in this elo. If you were to throw a couple of us in a mid Gold game on our mains, chances are, we'll hold our own. We certainly won't do anything mind blowing, most likely because we'll be scared out of our asses of royally screwing up (this has happened to me before. I was in Bronze 2/3, and everyone else on the field was Gold 2 or higher). If you were to throw us into mid silver.....you'd most likely see no difference at all.

Also, you see alot less ragers/trolls than you may think. I may have one truly toxic person maybe once every 3 games or so, and the rest just get upset, and most of the time regain their cool if things go well. I honestly don't remember when I had an honest troll in my game, and I've probably only ran into 3 intentional feeders in all my time of playing League (which, I started playing back when Lucian was released).

Now, this only applies to Bronze 1 and 2. Bronze 3 and lower......well.......I recently had a bad streak of games which pushed me down into Bronze 3 from 2, and let me tell you, the difference is night and day.....with 3 being night, if you know what I mean.

Are we the best at the game? No, and most will admit that. But we certainly aren't as bad as some of you make us out to be.

Bronze 1 has nicer people than friken salty AF silver 5.

All 5's are filled with salt.

I'm not trying to be a douche, but its not the same as Gold. Gold isnt amazing by any means, but if I'm playing against bronze players in norms I can steamroll games really hard

Going to have to strongly disagree that Bronze players'game knowledge rivals Plat. I also don't understand saying someone has has good game knowledge, yet poor decision making. Those are more or less one in the same. Game knowledge is what leads to the decisions you make

Perhaps that was the wrong wording. It might be better to say micro vs macro play.

Our micro play (knowing what to build, how to CS, what to do in teamfights, etc.) is on par with Gold players (and I don't mean mechanics, such as using flash at the right time, or certain champ combos/interactions).

Our macro game (knowing how to close out games, knowing what objectives to go for, lane control, etc.) is what's poor.

Does this make sense?

I don't want to be negative here, but gold players generally have much better CS than anyone in bronze. I've played with a few gold players in blind pick before(before my normal MMR fell T.T). And most generally have close to 160 CS in 20 minutes, the bare minimum I've seen.

Nothing wrong with your builds while I'm not sure about teamfights.

Eedat1 votes

knowing what to build, how to CS, what to do in teamfights,

No not really lol. Bronze players generally are bad at farming.

The thing thats really striking me as a problem is that you think you're good at team fighting. I'm Gold and I'm still shit at it. Team fighting is hands down the hardest thing to do in League period. There are way more variables coming in a shorter time frame than anything else in LoL. Everyone has room to improve when it comes to team fighting.

I think you need to take a step back and admit how many mistakes you're actually making. Thats what I did and it helped me climbing a lot

This is good advice for everyone including me. The only thing I remember in team fight is, "focus the adc." I forget everything else.

Thats not how you team fight though. Sometimes you cant focus the ADC and doing so will just be suicidal.

But focusing the tank is almost never a good idea.

I'll +1 this considering I've been here since s2, have 100 days of time into League and I am bronze in all Q's. I'm a pretty damn good player but couldn't escape bronze even if my life depended on it. People outside of bronze just have made a high ego for themselves and talk down about us bronzies. I started playing ranked in s6 and have been bronze since then, things just aren't right. I'm not saying I deserve this or that, but I will say the few times I've watched pro play, I get tilted and turn it off because of how well I compare to them yet I'm still a 'bronze noob'.

But, you do have to realize that if you were to go into a game with these guys, they'd completely mop the floor with you.

Pro play is on whole different level than solo queue. First off, their ping is like 10 or less because they play on specific servers. Secondly, these guys know the champs so well, that they can determine exactly how much damage they can deal to you in a specific amount of time with the exact build they have.

From the outside, it may look like bad plays, but believe me when I tell you that there are PLENTY of mind games going on in those games, some of which we solo queue players will never EVER understand.

So, I'm sorry, but I have to call you out on comparing yourself to Pro play. It is a COMPLETELY different ball game, and unless you have near perfect game knowledge and mechanics, you really should not be comparing yourself to them.

I wont deny what you said, not only am I in bronze, I play blind pick on a daily. I'm used to people not being very organized, so I'm not saying I would feel comfortable stepping right into pro play. What I am saying, is that knowledge about this game is what I do have and you should expect anyone to have practically mastered such a simple game after 100 days of gameplay. Not to mention it's the only game other than GTA 5 I've played in the last couple years. I honestly wish I could find a couple very high elo people that are honest about their opinion, and have them play a couple regular matches with me so that I could finally have someone say something positive about my gameplay here

Oh and I get 21 ms flat on a regular :D Until I move to a close/better spot in my house or get a hardwire I get often spikes people say "wtf 21ms" all the time to me

its actually why i ended up creating an account names 'ping is 21 ms' lmfao

I'm in silver 3 right now and I'll tell you without a doubt that I'm terrible at league. It's easy to say you're good at the game when your competition consists of people roughly your skill level.

Once you start playing with high silver or anything higher, you'll quickly realize how much improvement you need.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're bad (I'm saying I'm bad). Just know that if you were better, you could solo carry every game you are in and get to where you belong.

Electro5221 votes

And I'm not saying I'm good at the game either. I honestly believe that I play at a low to mid sliver level, any higher, and I'd probably get my ass handed to me.

But, my mechanics and decision making (especially) is what keeps me here. There are several times where I'm running around the rift like a chicken with my head cut off, cause I just can't figure out what to do. It is improving, but it is a very slow process.

High bronze is actually good. People do decent at CS and understand their champs. I am not sure about Silver. I have had some strange flex games in silver recently with trying new or fun things.

But when I was B2 i was paired vs S1 and Golds. And i was getting crushed in lane. So there is a difference somewhere.

I'm in B2 and fairly commonly paired with/against golds and plats (at least by border anyway), and I don't always feed. I also haven't been playing my mains that often either.

What? How do you get paired with golds/plats? Were they boosted?

I won't say you are wrong. I was simply giving my experience where I was getting destroyed in lane. Most bronzes did not freeze against me but they did. Most bronzes let me build up overtime, but they punished me for being bad.

But I don't see how you can see the opponent's border.

You can't in-game but you can do it after. Go to LoL Match History and put their names under the search bar. I once got stomped by a Yasuo player, learned he was diamond after lol.

The main thing that a makes a lot of people think this sort of thing, regardless of their rank, is that a lot of higher ranked people are really dumb.

Like, they're really good at the game from practicing a bunch, but they haven't put the time in to learn what champions or items do, and sometimes they'll open their mouths and the stupidest shit will just come pouring out.

Hallbuster1 votes

Meh, I'm looking at your match history and seeing some great games with decent KDA's in all of them, except.... CS. Which may need a little work. In low Elo's CS is completely underrated, 17 CS is easily worth 300 gold or a kill. If you're not managing 150 CS in 20 minutes, you're going to fall behind against some lane opponents with better wave clear or CS skills.

If you have to roam, push your wave as close to the turret as you can so you'll miss as little as possible. It's the same with recalling.

I'll admit, some of my recent games have been bad farming games. Don't know why, but every now and then, I can't last hit to save my life.

I will say that I feel I'm quite decent at farming (except in the jungle), for if I'm not getting completely curb stomped in lane, I usually out farm my opponent.

Granted, that's not much merit for saying I'm good at farming, it's just that I've noticed that if someone is better than me at farming, they are better than me in every regard.

As for 150 cs at 20........I'll have to get back to you on that. I honestly don't know what my average is at 20 for even games.

You can see some of your recent games here:

https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Paleo+Electro+

or in your LoL match history:

http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/209488273

Your CS isn't particularly high in most of your games, without saying it's a bad number when you're already out farming your lane opponent. When you CS you have to keep 2 things in mind:

  1. Some minions may be attacked more than one other minion. Which means you generally want to focus that one first.

  2. Your aa has an attack delay. Or delay between auto attacks that can vary from champion to champion. While I don't recommend this for everyone, playing a one trick champion, generally with the added benefit of knowing when to attack because it differs from every champion: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_delay

Also, I don't think your opponent is necessarily better, but might use a different playstyle than yours. There's passive, aggressive, and bait-aggressive.
