Just goes to show how sad this games playerbase is. You won't dare touch something till the pros use it.

Everyone bitched and moaned about how easy it was to kite olaf

have all been in this game long enough for you to realize kiting olaf is damn near impossible now and you NEED your team to kill him before he reaches you. Meanwhile the other 4 members of this team are taking easy pickings as everyone has their attention on olaf

Now all of a sudden that he sees pro play I hear people saying "Olaf is OP now" or "Do you know how hard it is to kite olaf with his ult on?" etc.

Like, why do these type of people even bother trying to play the game?

"X CHAMP HAS A WINRATE OF BLAH BLAH IN DIAMOND+ SO THEY MUST SUCK" "DID YOU NOT SEE FAKER PLAY X CHAMP (same as above) HE'S OP"

Fuck is wrong with you people? Do you not know you can have an opinion of your own?

You are the one who clearly doesn't understand OP. Olaf is stronger now than he was before due to changes in the game through itemization and other champions being nerfed. That is why he is seeing play now because he IS STRONGER.

He's still pretty meh in soloQ. Works great in certain comps, but needs his team to do well. That's why he's an excellent pick in LCS.

Everything i've put in the OP was in the game for awhile now, yes, I realize some new items made him even better but he was not as bad as people constantly whined about and neglected to play him simply because he "wasn't viable/good" anymore.

Nobody touched Olaf before he saw pro play now I constantly see him being played and it's annoying. Especially when I get the person on my team that's never touched him and instalocks him in a ranked game because "LCS DID IT" that's irritating and it happens all the time.

Can't wait for the LCS to pick Teemo so we can have a bunch of people start ranting how broken he is

Each sport has bandwagon fans. Ever play a sports video game with a friend and they will always pick the team that had a good player/ had a good season? or will cheer for teams that are doing well? same goes for league, people just wait for a pro to choose a champ, then riot will say "X champ is clearing the waves in pro play", then they the bandwagon fan will say "wow he must be good" pick the champ and not know how to play them.

I think Olaf is a great example of a champion who was always potentially strong, and just needed some indirect buffs to bring him into play. Riot literally never touched him, they just slowly built up his itemization to his favour.

Olaf needs to built a team around him, he is not op as single pick (for competitive ), at solo q olaf remains the average champion, not op, not up . The reason olaf is now on the meta, because they nerfed consistently hyper mobile champions and at the same time they gave him a decent itemization, also some minor buffs helped him. Riot needs a couple of more competitive games to decide what to do with olaf (opinion)
