@Riot any chance for other Kha'Zix changes?

The extra early sustain is good, but until it goes live we can't be sure if it is enough. There's still the big problem that his evolved R is well, garbage.

After these changes go down, if Kha is still struggling is there any chance his ultimate could get a change? Perhaps something on his isolation? As of now a very large portion of your damage is reliant on the enemy running off alone, which rarely happens late game. If we're 40 minutes into a game I can't do anything because nobody goes off alone in an unwarded jungle, and Kha'Zix gets destroyed by an upgraded sweeper or someone being within 10 meters of a minion.

Please do something about isolation, you literally nerfed his Q 3 times in one patch (4.10, removed execute, increased isolation range, lowered damage) without seeing how each would affect him. Either lower isolation back to how it was on release or give him the execute. Or do something about his pretty much useless ultimate. As of now his ultimate is pretty much 2 procs on his passive. Pretty underwhelming for an ULTIMATE ability.

Q is terrible due to the reliance on isolation for good damage. R is practically useless because of the delay between uses. W isn't strong enough for poke'Zix to be viable.

Evolved E is pretty much the only reason for playing Kha'Zix, as far as I can tell. On those rare occasions when you can actually get a kill, you get an escape. However, it's also a major reason why he's kept weak... Resets are a mess when it comes to balancing.

Riot simply can't balance him with only 3 evolution points; they always claim the current dominant pattern isn't what they want. If they'd give him four in every game (start with one and get the other three as you level your ultimate?), they could actually take steps to buff him back up. The W heal buff is a joke.

I think Kha'Zix is super weak. Really bad, really weak. Now that I got that out of the way, I think his ultimate, as a skill, is good. I feel like it could do more, but I don't feel like the ultimate has to. It's easy to juke around the jungle with it, it's a good escape in a chase scenario, and it feels very rewarding to use correctly. His isolation, however, is terrible, and needs a serious rework.

The PBE sustain isn't helpful that much to the champion. He needs some actual meaningful design buffs.

I always evolve R last o-o I dont bother with w because i'm confident i can hit it without the evolution. Never got why people evolved it in the first place. Doesn't even give extra damage. I'd rather have more passive procs, longer stealth time, more movespeed, and overall more safety and damage output.

W is the underwhelming one

I completely agree I'm a QER guy. The passive reset is super helpful. Longer stealth makes sneaking up or away easier. One more stealth proc even better. And it gives a move speed bonus

The main reason to evolve W is the AoE teamfight 50% slow instead of a much smaller 20% slow. It's a very useful ability, which is why people used to max it and evolve it first. The only reason it kinda sucks now is because it isn't good to max due to its low damage.

Evolved R isn't really that useful at all.

He doesn't really fit into the meta at all currently. The jungle changes at the begin of the season hit him on top of the W nerf. And now with cinderhulk being better than the other jungler items he just has no place. Riot should buff the Warrior enhancement or add an useful effect to it ( like spirit of the lizard elder had ) and it would be on par with cinderhulk. Of course removal of the CDR is an option and maybe another build path than a brutalizer.

Riot should buff the Warrior enhancement

No, they shouldn't. They are nerfing cinderhulk slightly, which is fine. They should buff Magus and Devourer and have all four converge on the present power level of Warrior. If they buff Warrior up to Cinderhulk's level, Magus and Devourer will be even farther from viability.

Anyway, Kha isn't only a jungler; jungle item changes can't solve all his problems.

The W buff is an attempt for him to survive laning or jungle, but not the buffs that people were asking.

What if evolving his ult made his passive on-hit stronger when it's from stealth? It could give him a stronger slow, or some percent current health damage or armor shred or something.

Armor shred would bring back tanky Kha'zix, which Riot doesn't want. If anything, it should provide some utility that enhances his stealth. One of the ideas I like is giving him "Predator vision", which would allow him to see all enemy champions within 1000-1200 range or something like that. It would be useful as an assassination tool and a guarantee of isolation damage on targets he can see are isolated.

Got question: Why Kha related threads started to pop in boards? Like 2 weeks ago there was none kha threads (i don't mind it, just curious what lately made people relize kha was in bad spot).

Because cinderhulk has thoroughly relegated Kha'zix to the intensive care unit. As in you have to take intensive care of when you pick him, because he's so useless against the cinderhulk tanks that he can't really do much.

I really like Kha. I feel like Kha could use a tiny buff on his un-isolated Q damage. Like a Ryze Q damage buff, just a tiny bit.

I also think that Kha'zix's isolation range should decrease with each evolution. If he is truely an evolving hunter, he should get better at hunting and isolating his prey with each evolution. This fix would fit thematically, as well as help his late game problem of requiring the enemy team to be uncoordinated in order to perform his role.

Or instead of his level determining the isolation range, put that as an on-hit utility with his evolved W. Hitting an opponent with evolved W reduces the isolation radius on them by 100-125 or something like that. It forces you to make a choice about evolutions values.

If they did that they would also need to re-implement being able to W while mid flight E. Otherwise it would be too hard to engage effectively.

Respectfully, I disagree. It would force the player to position correctly in a fight instead of just evolving W/Q and leaping in without a second thought to nuke the carry. You have to make meaningful fighting choices. You can't just leap in on them without thinking.

You can still get there right as the spikes hit if you leap right after hitting W, so it's not completely out of the question, but not casting it mid-air allows for counterplay of "stand behind your tank" so you don't get the radius reduced.

What if evolving Kha's R gave you a small %missing health regen boost when stealthed?
