if they had 15hp, and potioned they should die at max stacks of his passive. even at the lowest lvl max stacks still deals 70~ dmg.

Binxy Prime19 votes

champs have base regen also

Remlap12234 votes

Not even Mundo can heal that back up. Unless they popped a potion or heal, they're going down.

Edit: At level 1, don't be a smartass.

LordGeovanni12 votes

this was never a lvl 1 question who is really being a smart ass

Remlap12232 votes

I'm sorry let me rephrase. All stages of the game unless you're Dr. Mundo, Swain, Vladimir, Twitch, Volibear, Fizz, or Singed. Point is that Twitch's passive is great for picking off fleeing champions. It does need to scale better in the late game, but even in its current damage amount it's not just "regeneration countering". 76 true damage over 6 seconds is 13 true damage per second (rounded up). No champion regenerates that much. Sure, it can be healed, and shielded, and lifesteal back up, but passive regeneration? Not even Mundo running x2 recovery, spirit visage, and warmogs can pull that. He needs to ult before that damage becomes ignorable.

Yeah, aaing someone once is just regeneration cancelling, but that goes with all AD carries with on hit effects, it's not that awesome unless you stack it (I'm looking at you titty princess MissFortune).

Gunslinger7444 votes

Overkill on the Mundo part, remember that his regen scales with his maximum health thanks to his passive. He can definitely ignore it with that many health and regen items.

Sorry, I like playing Mundo so I must correct mistakes D:

Remlap12231 votes

Lol trust me, I know Dr. Mundo, but he can't regenerate two hundred HP5 unless he ults. Unless. How do you get that much regeneration off of his passive? He'd have to have 8000 health before he can just ignore twitch's passive (fully stacked). Which don't get me wrong is completely doable, and probably a sign you're building Mundo right, but he probably has to be full build for that to happen.

Pinkie1 votes

With item 3065 and a item 2003, Dr. Mundo only needs 4,000 max health to completely offset a max damage Twitch passive.

...or just a item 3083.

TotalJerk4 votes

That gives me an idea for a buff: Make twitch's passive stop the health regen of those under its effects.

Yosuke Apperu1 votes

They removed grevious wounds from all ad champs except for varus i believe.

TotalJerk2 votes

I'm not talking about grievous wounds. His passive will ignore healing, but completely halt regen.

Zair Umbras1 votes

Only if you mean base regen.

FantasySniper1 votes

It would be too strong against given champions, especially since he's already a tank-killer.

Auz the Ripper2 votes

He's never been a particularly good tank killer Part of the reason he's been so out of the meta recently

The other part being Riot's surgical removal of his kneecaps

FantasySniper1 votes

ADCs in general are tank-killers, and then Twitch has his passive's true damage.

He's been out of meta because he sucks, not because he sucks at killing tanks. He has next to no mobility and not enough damage to make up for the lack of safety.

Auz the Ripper2 votes

I meant compared to champions like KogMaw Vayne Jinx or even Draven

Twitch has always been in practice better against other squishies than tanks compared to other ADCs

Not that I'm discountting that Riot slaughtered him and left his corpse where they dumped it last season

FantasySniper1 votes

There's not a single ADC that kills tanks better than squishies :/

Zair Umbras1 votes

But not many ADC's are like Twitch who gets to choose who they kill. Call him Master Splinter, because he's a Ninja Master.

FantasySniper1 votes

That absolutely needs to be a skin. With all new voice-lines.

take into account natural health regen

A Miss Fortune5 votes

Pretty sad when Twitch's passive doesn't even stop their health regen, just lowers it.

Lets see, a Champion at 15hp, -12hp a second for 6 second (72 true damage over 6 second, 72/6 = 12), +10hp for 15 seconds from health potion (150 healing over 15 seconds, 150/15 = 10). Time in seconds since Poison 1: 13hp (15 - 12 + 10) 2: 11hp (13 - 12 + 10) 3: 9hp (11 - 12 + 10) 4: 7hp (9 - 12 + 10) 5: 5hp (7 - 12 + 10) 6: 3hp (5 - 12 + 10) DoT ends and champion survives.

Answer: Pots OP.

Actually, at lowest damage with Deadly Venom, it does one damage per stack for 6 seconds, so if you have 6 stacks you will do 6X6, only 36 damage. now pots heal 10 damage every second for 15 seconds, so not only are they healing 4 more health than you are dealing damage, but the damage is HALF of what you said

Atually it does 2 damage per stack at level 1, so 72 dmg is correct.

Yeah what this guy said. They buffed it so it's 2 dmg lvl 1

1/2/3/4/5/6 true damage (at levels 1/4/7/10/13/16) ⇒ 2/3/4/5/6 true damage (at levels 1/5/9/13/17)

Actually, they kind of buffed his passive a few patches ago in order to be 2 damage per stack per second at levels 1-4, which means that you're incorrect when it comes to the damage.

JustMyBassCannon7 votes

Yes, but still, 12 damage per second, 10 HP gained per second, poison lasts 6 seconds, potion lasts 15 seconds...

You take a total of 12 damage out of 15 HP, not including innate HP regen.

Rew7111 votes

I do want you to know it deals way more than that. Dealing 6 true damage per second, up to 6, so you got up to 36 over this and after 6 seconds it would (or should) deal 216 damage. BUT, the other person has health regen, so whatever you shoot out, subtract it from the health regen. So if the enemy has from 2 to 3 (maybe even 4) health regen every second, it'd bring down his damage per second to 4 or 3 damage per second, so at max, it would deal (instead) 24 or 18 each second. After 6 seconds, it would deal up to 144 or 108 damage over the seconds. And, there are other reasons for his/her survival. Imagine if a healing support showed up. He has lifesteal and shoots some enemies to regain health. Or say he has 5 pots and makes his health regen go up a lot. Each of these would cease the passive. So, if they were to be gaining more HP back each second than his passive was giving off, it would seem as if it wasn't even there and their health regen was just worsened for 6 or so seconds.

Also you need to count that some stacks will end quicker so the dot will weaken a bit with time.

Maybe his passive could somehow interact with crit?It would be interesting.

CasterGilgamesh1 votes

no one wants true damage that crits

Kuroi863 votes

Idk, considering that it's a dot and maxes out at 6 damage per tick you're looking at a crit tick of 15 damage at full build. Considering it's pointless for ADCs to go above 50% crit chance, you could look at around half of the ticks critting. So we go from 216 damage to a potential of around 378 true damage. It's still well below the damage dealt by ignite. o.0

Math saves the day. XD

Kuroi861 votes

Which raises an interesting question. Would a dot that interacts with Crit be a good way to balance a champ? Make it so that their crits deal a dot instead of the increased auto damage.

PokladnicaZla1 votes

Don't know the answer, but RIOT found a way for it to work on Ashe,so they should be able to find a way for Twitch.Maybe his E should interact with crit instead of his passive?

Kuroi862 votes

Hm, would be interesting if Riot started working on ADC's to each have a unique interaction with critical strike so that it isn't just a massive DPS boost but with unique mechanics can really boost ADC's in their given situations.

PokladnicaZla1 votes

Hope this thread gets a RED.
