Reminds me of old DOTA 2 drop system.
You could get hundreds of chests (there was almost 100% drop chance per game), while you had to buy the keys. The thing is, keys were more expensive than the shit that the chests gave there.
If they didn't want people to farm stuff without paying, they should've thought better than to turn the game into another RPG.
The only way they will increase the drop rate will be by limiting the stuff that drops from the chests. That way Rito can still rely on players paying for the newest/coolest skins, while F2P guys will run around with the older ones.
Other than that, I don't see a reason for them to give people free stuff. In case you didn't know, this whole thing is just a marketing scheme to increase sales on their stuff. It's just meant to get you excited and happy to see new stuff and try it out. It works on mobile games; it works on a lot of MMORPGs; it will work here, too.
Free stuff is a myth. Utopia does not exist. Capitalism has become the essence of humanity.
