Can we have team builder back yet?

I just want to play jungle jax, that's all I give a shit about. But I can't do that because I have to pick either garbage draft where he's banned every fucking time or blind pick where I have to just autolock and scum the system and tell my teammates to go fuck themselves. I want to fucking play what I want without having to deal with this shit, can we get team builder back yet? I'm sick of this. It's just ranked, that's all it is. If I wanted to play ranked, I would play ranked. If you must, keep this as the ranked queue, but give us back fucking team builder so we can actually play what we want.

Team builder was ideal for people just wanting to hop in and play a quick game with the champion they want in the role they wanted. Even if it took 10 minutes to fill a game at least you got what you wanted out of it. Now it still takes 10-15 minutes to get into a game because someone forgets to "lock in" every game and to boot your favorite champ is banned. Yes, I am annoyed I bought Jhin on release and haven't played him, but I almost exclusively played team builder. This new mode is fantastic for ranked and I may bother to play this season, but please please please bring back team builder for us filthy casuals.

I guess? Last I remember, TB wasn't quick at all. Not enough people played support in the old TB, and that made waiting times long as hell if you didn't get lucky or didn't have a friend that loved to support.

I found matches pretty quickly in TB. Only 2 roles had relatively long wait times, top and mid. iirc, when I was learing Azir, I found a match in under 2 minutes most times. It wasn't that long.

This. Sometimes, I just don't want to go bot with a Xerath, or Katarina support. I like to kick those out of my group. :P Troll supports who don't even build sightstone, that is. So no more bot lane, I guess.

Like, I would try to make a more articulate post, but this is infuriating and I feel almost betrayed. It's such a massive step backwards. I was actually excited for this new queue, it was hyped up so much. And I've tried to give it a chance, but the longer I use it the more I just absolutely hate it. It's slow, it uses more resources on my laptop than league itself does, it crashes. The entire thing is just a poorly thought out, poorly executed mess.

All I want to do is play the champion I want to, I should be able to do that outside of ranked, but now I have to deal with the stress of ranked even in normals. Fuck that, I just want to play who I want.

Team builder had flaws, absolutely, but it was SO much better than this. Atleast I could actually play the role I wanted.

Not trying to sound condescending, but what kind of laptop are you using where the champ select uses more resources than the league game client itself??

I'm using an outdated Dell laptop from 2006 with an Intel Express Graphics Card. The dynamic queue champ select for me is cleaner than Teambuilder and Blind pick

Some Laptops, mine included, are newer but are designed Without graphics cards. And while it is certainly cleaner, that is very obvious because they designed it to be, but for those that don't have a graphic card and are running both league and the client on pure CPU, it is rather lagtastic and slow and choppy. Outdated 2006 graphics card is still better than no graphics card. :3

what i dont like is they said they were doing a ranked teambuilder, then scraped that idea for this dynamic queue with NO teambuilder... i wonder wht made them hate casuals so much.... i assume we dont spend enough money

Hopefully when they add the blind pick version of the new queue, they remove having to pick a secondary and make it more like traditional team builder.

Otherwise, I probably won't even play anymore.

I just wanted to play a quick game as Jhin before I went to bed tonight. But noooooooooooooooooo. the jerks in NORMAL draft decided to ban him. Twice.

I don't have all night to play league anymore. 1 game before bed is all I got. So of course I queue dodge the first time cuz a 5 min wait time is vastly better than a 30 min game. But yet again, he's banned right away the second game as well. :/ C'mon ppl. I wanna play the new champ.

Team builder was the only decent community out there. Least PvP toxicity I've encountered. Everything else, from all reports, is crap.

Too much rage in draft.
Still get secondary like 90% of the time.
I've only gotten my primary role twice.
Got my primary champ once.
I like what dynamic has done for draft, but it's not even in the same league as TB.

.... I'm a Main Support and even this makes me grossed out. I like playing Support, but I also love Jungling. If I even apply Support as my secondary choice, I. Always. End. Up. Getting. Support. Every. Single. Time.

It's starting to crawl in my skin. Riot please give us the option to either wait for our primary role, or give us the third option to not end up with a particular role.

Seconded. The new champ select is a great successor to draft, and works much better for ranked. However, team builder served an entirely different purpose and was played for different reasons, reasons which the new champion select fails to cater for.

Keep this queue for ranked, but bring back teambuilder for people who just want to come home and play jungle lulu for 5 hours straight.

I miss team builder, and I can only play so much ARAM. Going to be a real bummer if they don't bring back team builder at some point. While I like the changes for draft and ranked, for players that want to practice a new champ or a new role (or just want to play their favorite) I think it's a significant downgrade. Really disappointed in how riot chose to isolate a portion of the player base by removing a popular option without an equivalent option to replace it.

Or you could broaden the variety of champions you like to play? Instead of just wanting to play a broken champion you could try playing something that's balanced and rarely banned. Sion Nautilus Trundle All work in jungle and top, and are also mid-risk high-reward when played correctly.

I don't play jax because he's strong, I play him because I like jax. I want to play jax, I should be able to play jax.

But you like him cause he is strong. You wouldn't play him if you got shut down every game. I love Nautilus but don't play him when I want to win. You aren't playing Jax for the fun of it and he isn't permabanned for no reason.

Like how I played Sej prerework till she was gutted for pushing Lee Sin out of the spotlight for a month. Man were people salty tho when I player her holy shit.

Firstly, Nowhere does it say why TB was removed. It certainly highlights some nice, strong points of the 'Dynamic Que', which allow me to say I do like. However, I like it, in modes like Ranked and unranked Draft. And I wouldn't mind it in blind pick either. It's a good and interesting system. But. Teambuilder was a completely different system. One they had, no reason to remove other than to force player who enjoyed it to play other modes. Modes like the new dynamic Que. Teambuilder Allowed you to play a champion you wanted in a lane you wanted. Dynamic Que gives you two lanes which you basically have 50/50 chance of getting, and then a basic game, in which you will go through like a ranked game of picking, banning, counterpicking, and in some cases getting intentionally Hard counter picked. Which is all fine, and I might still be countered playing Nasus in Teambuilder, but it is almost universally guaranteed in Dynamic Que if I don't pick after their toplane. Teambuilder and Dynamic Que are two ENTIRELY different modes, modes that I don't see why they couldn't co-exist. I wouldn't (And Don't) mind this system at all in Ranked, Draft pick, and even blind pick. But I would like Teambuilder back because I did enjoy it. And as surprising as it may be, I do like having fun playing league and not laning against champs like Teemo Gnar as my poor doggy. But it is just an opinion. Thank you for your time. :3

I don't want a blind pick version of this queue. I want team builder where I could pick the exact position and champion I want.

i cant play teemo (or __ champ) in support any more now it seems without being called a troll, and then often having terrible things said to me, having people ban the champ i want, ect.... all because i wanted to just have some fun outside of a ranked game...

this is something i really miss about the TB aspect... im not a troll, but they consider me one because now there is a penalty for dodging, so they cant just leave the team comp, and they cant kick me from the team comp....

i miss teambuilder for many reasons

Yeah the only way I could play TF or Ahri mid now is to go blind pick and autolock that champ and say "mid only." Then just keep doing that until someone doesnt dodge. I don't want to be toxic but that's literally the only way to play mid anymore it's kind of sad

To me, the true benefit of team builder was that you could test out / learn specific champions in specific roles. That's a powerful thing to have that has been lost.

I don't think I could play league right now without bans with all these broken champs floating around, but if I would, I'd prefer TB.

The new mode will be better for ranked but it's getting pretty tiresome I have to say, it takes bloody ages to actually get into a game and when it does, there is a 10 minute wait I do not want and that is best case scenario when nobody quits.

I'm also only good at support, it's a very different mindset from any other role, I think. I loved Teambuilder for that and I struggle having to choose a second role. Despite what many people are saying, I actually don't get to play support very often in the new game modes. It has frightened me away from wanting to play, what if I get a lane I am horrible with and my team lashes out at me? Anyway, sorry for rambling. TLDR; I miss teambuilder too :( i didn't mind the wait to get into a game.

Fully agree with OP, even if not the colorful lingo. Sometimes i just want to chill with an old favorite that might not be meta but i still enjoy, or use a new champ, or try a particular build. I cant do any of this with the dynamic mode (unranked) without risking not getting the lane I need. Then i have to sit through an unranked with a champ i dont feel like playing or quit and get a 5min ban / re-queue.

The decision to remove Teambuilder from norms was ridiculous.

On the other hand - Dynamic for ranked is fantastic.

Very true. As someone that enjoys playing a lot of Vel'koz, I was cool with waiting for 5 to 10 minutes for a game. Why? Because I got to play what I wanted to play. Also, a really underrated thing in teambuilder was the ability to have a lower mmr for a new champ. While my mmr isn't crazy low gold, playing against a gold player with a champ I've never played is generally not going to end well. I was a lot more willing to try a new champ rather than just go to comfort picks as I would for sure be able to play him, and it wouldn't be as rough for me or my teammates.

Team Builder was great. I didn't have to wait so long to get to play a champion AND A ROLE I wanted to play. The new mode is great in Ranked play but we really need Team Builder.
