Oh okay, so to counter Zed I just need a point and click hard CC (which are slowly leaving the game or at least becoming MUCH less common), to take one specific summoner spell and have it up if he presses R (...how does this help? He just presses R again and can murder you next time), to rush 1 of 2 items, and then hope he doesn't just kill with autoattacks or target someone different, or to take an item that provides no defence against his burst, costs 1200, and only builds into an item useful on high AD champions (with the component of the Sash itself meaning anyone who rushes this is going to get stomped in lane due to having 1200 gold on the "MR and cleanse" option).

You know what counters most of the champions you listed? A pink ward and any form of hard CC (Akali sure loves jumping in to try and assassinate when her shroud is useless and she can't attack to spellvamp, right? Akali doesn't even have a reliable escape after she jumps in!). You know what counters Zed? Hard cc and ENOUGH BURST to kill him before he presses R again. Those other assassins at least are high risk and high reward (Rengar goes in, he has no escape. Shaco, ditto. Katarina's "escape" is reliant on getting a kill/assist right after she jumps in). Zed is low risk high reward (they don't have an instant point and click hard cc? Press R again. They do hard cc you, but don't have enough burst/long enough cc to kill you? Press R again. They do have enough hard cc and burst? Press R after your team forces them to use it, then R again if needed).

There I fixed that for you to include every one that Hard CC counters, which is every one, save for an Olaf for about 6 seconds

Unless this post went over your head, it's to show that Zed has 10x the counters that any other assassin in the game has.

OMG CC COUNTERS ANY ONE LOOOOOOOOL.

INCLUDES all the assassins you stated "ANY ONE", THUS they all have the EXACT same amount of counters according to you :)

The only difference is that out of all of them Zed is one of the lowest risk/highest reward assassins.

For Fizz and Zed, exhaust doesn't work as well, or Alkali, or Rengar. Or Kha'Zix. Fizz has two dash-like moves, one of which goes through you and the other that prevents you from exhausting him. And by the time that you exhaust him, he's on top of you with his Shark on the way. Exhaust does not work. As for Zed, like stated below, just CCing him and breaking away from his CC won't work either - he just Ults again. Akali becomes invisible, and therefore untargetable, while in her smoke circle, so she can just dash you right after anyway. Nope, not countered. Rengar can Ult on you, and if you exhaust him after that, his movement speed gained is enough to make up for it. Kha'Zix can either leap right on top or in front of you, or slow you so hard that his slow is negligible. Again, not countered. Stop being a smart... person and actually think about what you're saying.

A well timed Zhonyas counters far more than you give it credit for. Last year Dig vs LMQ Zhonyas hard countered Yasuo's ult, about 3 times. Yasuo would hit the knocked up Twisted Fate, do all three hits, and upon landing TF would be in Statis. If you look closely at Yasuo, you realize that his ult doesn't actually do damage until you land. You could use a Zhonyas against most of these assassins to block a good chunk of their damage.
