Is AP faceroll the big thing now?

At least 3 matches a day for the past few weeks I keep seeing, over and over and very consistently the same small handful of facerolly, snowbally mids rushing Mejai's, getting it fully stacked within 10 minutes and single-handedly deciding the game from the word go. Every time, LeBlanc, Viktor, Katarina and a couple others get one kill early because they're easy champs to do so with, gab a Mejai's, and instantly snowball into being an entire team packed into one Champion. I'm starting to feel Mejai's should've been deleted along with Sword of the Occult because the fact that this much snowballing is this regular of a thing is not ok.

anyone trying decently hard can snowball in normals... nobody plays serious there

Well sure, but I've been noticing a visible trend in that it's the same Champs building the same first item snowballing. If it was a mage one game, an adc the next, and Olaf the third I'd figure I just had a run of bad luck.

well, mid has a lot of snowbally matchups because everybody is squishy and Leblanc and kata are both pubstompers/snowball really hard.

Probably more of a "someone tryharding to get an S grade in normals and picking snowbally champions" situation, rather than "I got fed because i bought this item" situation.
