Let's Talk Nasus

So, I recently bought Nasus and a bunch of other low-cost champions the other day and I tried them out in a few games. I then hopped on over to Lolking and checked current win and ban rates on champions and noticed that Nasus has a high pick rate and win rate, and a low ban rate and noticed that his current meta is the Jungle. I thought to try it out; so, I tested a few recommended builds and liked certain aspects and hated others and tweaked it a bit. Now, I'm a casual and I don't touch ranked cuz it's just too depressing for my tastes, but I think I came up with something that works best for him/me.

For Masteries, I focus a set that enables sustain and quick clear in the jungle.

I place 5 in offense, 15 in defense, and 10 in utility.

Offense: 3/4 Sorcery, Butcher, and Feast Defense: Max Recovery, Tough Skin, Veteran's Scars, Bladed Armor, Juggernaut, Hardness, and Perseverence Utility: Phasewalker, Max Fleet of Foot and Summoner's Insight, Alchemist, Culinary Master, and Runic Affinity.

I've no budget for Runes, unfortunately; so, I just stick with the page I invested in for AD champions some ages ago. Flat Damage Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Flat MR Glyphs, and Move Speed Quints.

Smite is obviously a must have for a jungler and then I take Ghost, which, when combined with wither and Summoner's Insight allows my team to mow down anything I single out.

The initial objective I place for myself is to clear quickly starting with Gromp and clearing all but Red before gong B. Grab Red and then attempt my first Gank. I originally made the mistake of worrying about my Q stacks. Nasus in the Jungle doesn't necessarily need a whole bunch of stacks to leave an impact. By Maxxing E first, clearing creeps and neutrals becomes a breeze and landing a W on an enemy followed by a maxxed E will either net me a kill, an assist, or send the enemy running while my team takes an objective. I still stack my Q whenever possible and I rush Iceborn Gauntlet for a bit extra damage, CC, and tankiness.

In PVP, I managed to stay on level, demolished a few structures of my own, slew the dragon at least once, and ganked and covered lanes as needed despite my team's utter disregard for warding.

Nasus is not so much as a fighter as he is an enforcer of what needs done (In my opinion) and I play him as such. I clear and farm quickly for gold and XP, build to survive, and stay alive as much as possible because Nasus' presence can turn the tide of battle with his AoE and Wither. I try to be the first to dive under a turret when push comes to shove then jump back out when the enemy has been forced back or killed then follow the wave for the turret.

I will build at least one MR item, but Armor and MR does not stack effectively; so, when I'm taking 50+% reduced damage (Magic and Physical) I typically focus health items.

I take boots of swiftness since Juggernaut already provides the tenacity I'd receive from Merc Treads. This combined with Fleet of Foot and Movement Speed Quints will make me fast at any moment of the game and the addition of slowing effects being reduced on my person is an added bonus.

That said, I will remind you all that I am a casual and I am not really providing tips so much as posting what has worked for me thus far with Nasus and am looking for advice as to how I can make my gameplay with him even better.

Firstly nasus meta is top not jungle. It does way more than nasus jungle. Besides that i think your style of playing nasus is fine, you might want to try ap nasus since you are maxing e first.

Nasus top is much more reliable, since you have much faster access to Q stacks. Jungle mobs are much harder to kill, so by end-game, you'll have much fewer CS than your laners. Normally that's not a big deal, since jungle creeps give more XP and gold (though I'd argue still not enough)... but for Nasus you need numbers.

I've been enjoying a build that uses 9/21/0 and flat CDR blue runes and quints... so you have 20% CDR at start, and with item 3024 and item 3067 you'll have 40%. By the end of laning phase I had 360 Q stacks.

Nasus jungle is so bad. Top relies heavily on your jungler not being oblivious to enemies standing on top of your turret denying farm the entire game.

I'm not sure why you posted this, but the Jungler's job isn't to babysit any single champion because if that's all they ever did, they'd be severely under level and become useless to the entire team. A Jungler has to clear camps for XP, gank and cover lanes as needed if available and capable of doing so at that given moment, push lanes whenever the opportunity arises, and peel enemies off the carries in team fights or avoid the fight altogether if there's no possible way of winning it because if your whole team dies then you could lose an entire lane if not the game.

A jungler's job is to realize an opportunity where one is present. If they have a hard counter to Nasus and put you under your own turret, a gank is extremely easy. Nasus has a weak early game, but when the enemy is so overextended it becomes easy to secure a kill. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about kid.

Your rudeness is not warranted. I'm also wondering what you are trying to say since he's talking about jungling in general and you're talking about lane Nasus.

On another note, it's clear why the LoL community is one of the worst because it's full of people with no clue on how to talk like normal decent people.
