Here is my list of champions I just don't understand how to play against:

Leblanc Victor Aatrox Sion Irelia

They all are just ridiculous confusing to me to play against.

These may not be the best answers, but I'm only speaking on behave of personal experience.

Victor: I've only played against him twice this month in the top lane, though I got very different results. Both were with tanks too, losing 1 with Ornn, then won yesterday with Tahm Kench. For as much as he pokes early on and as well as he scales, it's important to remember that he is very squishy, especially early on, which is what you should expect from any mage. You need to either have that damage to melt him down, or have a teammate/jungler who can. I had the damage as Tahm and won lane, but didn't as Ornn and lost because solo queue Yi's are often garbage.

Aatrox is someone I play as, so I feel more sure of myself on this one. It's fun to jokingly compare him to Riven, but it's wrong to take that seriously. Despite being a melee champ, he prefers comfort in the form of specific ranges. While he has his first 2 Q's out, he's more open to enemies who dive right into him. After that, they want to jump back out since his 3rd Q is in the melee range. You always want to fight on your terms, not his. Grievous wounds can also help since he's so sustain reliant.

Sion's worst enemy isn't a specific champion, but patience. Early game, Sion is favoured in most patch-ups since he has the early game damage to poke you out, yet is too tanky to get burst down himself. With that said, he struggles to find his place in teamfights compared to most tanks. If you can avoid unnecessary damage and be willing to scale up, you'll still become more useful in the late game than the Sion would. I'll even play Nasus against Sion because I know I'll be more useful.

Irellia and Leblanc I could say some things about, but I don't think they would help much.

I'd add that most melees with poke can fight victor as long as they bait him to waste his cooldowns. Haven't seen an aatrox carry hard enough to warrant much concern, but nice detailing. I'd say fiora and vayne are good counters to sion late game as long as they pay attention to their positioning.

Sion: %health damage, CC, and kiting. A mixture of two can work.

Leblanc: item 3102 (mage) / item 3156 (ADC) / item 3190 (Support) / item 3065 or item 3512 or item 3001 (tank)

If Irelia top I would recommend somebody with instant CC or a very punishing poke during the early game. One example I like is Garen against Irelia, if the Irelia makes the mistake of using q to a minion near you then you can instantly q and silence her before she a. Dashes away to a safer location b. Uses w to stop q and grasp (If she is lvl 2-3 and/or depending on if she got w at lvl 2). This makes for a very easy trade and if you got one or more of these q trades in at lvl 1, you can easily kill her with a flash+Q into e. This all in is easier if you have ignite. You can also win trades against her early by slow pushing the wave and if she dashes near, do the same combo, most low elo players might make the mistake to auto attacking you while silenced and will draw minion aggro from the giant ass wave you built up.

Overall I am recommending to try and bully her early so she can’t easily jump on you and burst you. To stack both her passive and conq, the Irelia has to auto attack or Q the wave. So if you can zone her off the wave then you can stop her from gaining a ton of damage, you can do that by first winning said early trade or just pushing your wave under the enemy tower, then let it push back to you and hold 4 minions near the outside of your tower. After each wave keep those four minions outside your tower range and punish the Irelia (or any champ really) with poke or a trade when she walks up to try and CS/push. Only problem with this strat is that the jungler can’t really invade the topside jungle if you are doing this top, cause you can’t easily go help him if he gets caught while the Irelia can.

You can see If she goes mid if the player banned a midlane champ, then you can counterpick her with a tankier champ. Her damage is really good against squishies, so I would recommend picking a tankier champ against her, unless you have god tier micro play to keep the Irelia off of you lol.

Kiting urgot is the only way to beat him, unless you’re playing Dar dar binks.
