Why do people blame Riot for balancing issues..?

When they care more about freelo then game balance? (Hence why so many people played Ekko as a Tank, despite that NOT being his intended design?). I just cannot see where some people get off in this hypocrisy.

Of course Riot cannot balance the game if people are always trying to find unintended item and ability interactions that Riot did not account for when they designed that champion. So why do people even bother complaining when they care about their freelo rather then the overall health of the game?

With respect to the community, the problem... is the community for not using champions in the correctly balanced and intended way.

No, but k.

People are at fault for exploiting the game, as they are indeed the ones using the unintended interactions, but Riot is at fault for overlooking those problems and not preventing the exploitations. There is no rule saying that people HAVE to play the game as Riot intended, or else it will be unbalanced. As with the rest of the world (literally everything, from sports to law to who knows what), people will try their best to find loopholes and exploitations, and as the owner of the game it is Riot's job to prevent the loopholes.

So blame the community for not conforming to some build based off how Riot supposedly envisioned them, and not Riot's oversight. Lol?

The fact is that Riot does have quite a few issues with balancing their game. Suggesting that people need to just conform to the meta so Riot can do their jobs is a terrible outlook as you're asking Riot to continue to stifle innovation and make people go along with this never ending patch-based fotm ride.

I blame Riot for buffing Kog in the wrong ways, despite the fact that his player base informed Riot exactly what would happen if they gave him to much early/mid game power. Then Riot acted baffled that Kog was too powerful mid game. That sounds like gross incompetence to me.
