How I would fix this game's toxic community

I do not understand how the negative behavior, has got so bad and unlike other games that have had a similar issue, I will confidently say that Riot do not care about how bad game's are getting, at least in my region (OCE). Seriously, incorporate the honor system to being eligible to play ranked, it seem logical, it would make playing ranked a better experience, and give more incentive for people to play the game the way it is intended to be played. By the time anything is done ill most likely be playing another game, so I hope for the sake of the other people that have spent money on the game, I hope something changes real soon.

Dmg meta is the main reason. Ppl get more tilted, the faster they are getting killed, especially if there is no counterplay. Tbh its Riots own fault, because everytime they strengthen dmg, they community gets more tilted. And isnt it understandable that you get tilted if you get oneshot in less than a second, with not having any counterplay?

Garbage gameplay = toxicity.

first people need to stop assuming. If I say some shit like. "what are you building?" that doesn't mean I'm toxic. I'm interesting in knowing.

"Dmg meta is the main reason."

Never listen to trolls like him. Ever.

The best and the easiest way to fix this sick community is to punish griefers/trolls. Flamers are irrelevant. They are not a problem.

The game's balance and the players' behavior have NOTHING to do with each other. High damage does not make other people grief and troll games. Or go afk.

For example, I have NEVER seen a greater difference in junglers in any other season than 8 and this preseason.

Jungle is literally THE EASIEST role in the entire game. Yet the difference between junglers is so great every single game that it can't be called "skill difference" anymore.

There are jungle mains who do nothing but farm the first 10 minutes while his counterpart is murdering his entire team and taking towers and other objectives. Bad game? Fuck no.

High damage does not make a jungler afk farm the first 10 minutes in a gank heavy meta. High damage does not make people int.

It also does not make the matchmaking worse or better.

Riot allows griefing. That has to change. NOW.

People are getting more toxic because the game is getting more toxic. It’s significantly more tilting to die in .2 seconds to something that has no actual counterplay than to actually be outplayed.

  1. Make all emotes free
  2. Increase number of emotes available from 5 to "as many as you want"
  3. remove chat
  4. communicate only with emotes

only toxic behaviour is from angry emotes

only way to avoid toxicity in PvP communities is to reward rank with commitment rather than with success. in otherwords, kill the competitive aspect.

I love this idea so much. If you're toxic, your team is more likely to lose, so why should you get to play in the most competitive queues of the game? You're basically inting. Go to normals, realize it's easier to win if you're supportive of your team rather than trying to tilt them all game, get honor and get good.

Damage meta, MMR is garbage, people getting away with griefing, people stuck in a game for an extended period of time (With no way out from harassment and bad teams without being punished), people abusing the word toxic and flame, autofill, peoples mains being violated along with their secondaries, only retaliation being punished, MMR being dictated by teams that don't listen and bad teammates, playing favorites with punishments, SJW garbage, gaming going downhill since near the end of 2018, dying in one hit with broken hitboxes (Ever wondered why DS community is toxic?) and etc. I don't know why this community wouldn't be toxic.

But in order for that to happen, they would need to redo honors since they reset after the new season. So what will happen when the new season starts? Plus this wouldn't be fair towards people who don't play as often.

You want to know why relative to other games, League feels toxic?

The answer is simple:

-Riot actually gave players a tool they "expect" to work to police ALL sorts of bad behavior, while fully knowing that most people hold malicious intent and can't use such a tool responsibly.

-Most other games do NOT police toxicity, so players tend to be more mature, and able to tune it out as Noise. The only things they tend to police is cheating, hate speech, threats, etc

The second factor is that League is finally getting to a stage of frustration in the player base that other games generally reach in 2-3 years: Remorse, Regret, and impatience with balance, duress at not getting rewards for playing.

Also, what are you smoking? Make a requirement to the one area of the game that is the most competitive..... that you can't react competitively, and must censor yourself? What are you smoking and why would you suggest something that in 1 season would decrease the player base by 50%? Ranked is the one area of the game where toxicity should be justified.

Thats how you 100% kill the game

There was a time when they rank restricted people but it didn't change anything other than making normals a much worse experience.

This game breeds toxicity because there's no threat of violence for your actions in a team environment.

Take Hockey for example... if people acted like they do playing league while playing hockey, they'd be pummeled by both teams.

Nobody cares about their accounts, really. The high elo players who are toxic are good enough to just start/buy new account and get back to where they were. The low elo players.. the same thing. Nobody gives two fucks about their fellow player because since this games inception, it's been nothing but a push for "I NEED TO CARRY". The fact that there's a SOLO QUEUE right there tells you that its ALL ABOUT ME. SOLO. CARRYING. There's no teamplay, no strategy in pick and bans, there's nothing happening to promote cooperation whatsoever in this game.

What do they grade you on in game? Well, mostly your OWN PERFORMANCE. HOW WELL DID YOU CARRY?!? It should be setup to reward you better for things like PLACING WARDS or CORRECTLY PINGING DANGER (yes, you should get points for using the question mark ping in your lane when an enemy is missing).

The idiots at Riot Games have their head shoved so far up their politically correct asses that they don't see how fucking terrible of an experience it is to queue up alone and get matched with 4 other random fuckers who are all trying to do 1 thing and 1 thing only... "CARRY".

"Don't worry. I'll outplay everyone in this game and carry us all to victory."

Fuck that mentality you fucking idiots.

Riot loves the toxicity excuse to ban an account. They just tilt that person further until they start again and dish out more money for champs and skins on a new account.

Fuck Riot and their immoral revenue from toxic players. They'll never change it, it makes them too much money.

Blaming the community for being toxic when the game is garbage thanks to the dmg meta and other bullshit stuff, why the fuck do people only look at 1 side of the problem instead of the multiple sides of it and what caused that problem in the first place... "Hehe the community is toxic and it's not the games fault xDDDD" fuck sake. RIOT made their community toxic thanks to the garbage company called tencent.
