Ranked is worse than norms FYI

Every game of ranked in the last 2 weeks, I've had that 1 guy that feeds or trolls, because he can't have his way, they even say it in chat log, almost every 2nd game it feels like someone is going afk. This apples to both sides of the rift, and it is getting worse. Yet its okay to penalized someone over 1 game in chat log. The system is to lop sided, I am convinced it encourages people to ruin game play at this point. I check the match history of everyone I report and I keep thinking to myself, What is this game now.

Pretty confident Riot should make use of the honor system and use that as a requirement for ranked, where has the 'competitive' aspect ran off too?

To answer your title, to me they aren't. Norms are the worst thing ever because no one wants to ever finish the game. Makes me wanna claw my eyes out.

Yet its okay to penalized someone over 1 game in chat log.

I'm sure you have strong feelings about this but this doesn't actually happen unless someone uses hate speech, racism, etc.

Don't do this to yourself. You are literally setting yourself up to be stressed out. Worst way to play the game because you are mentally going in, every time you queue up, with this negativity. Have a shit game? Take five minutes and just don't think about it ever again.

I have been chat banned 3 times in the last 6 months, from single chat logs, not hate speech, nothing that is offensive. so yes that is a thing.

and I do not get stressed out i just get stupidly depressed cause I do it after games. Every ranked game in the last 2 weeks, At least 2 people, have either AFK'd or intentionally fed, whether that is on my team or I am versing it. Yet I get those single games that I do get frustrated I say something that is aggressive not offensive, i get chat restricted.

I think it is about time Riot did something that doesn't involve baiting people to buy shit, and actually fix there game's community

If a video game, which is supposed to be for fun and entertainment, is causing you stress, then it might be time to put that video game down for a bit until you can compartmentalize that fact. Your imaginary League rank does not matter in your life. It won't matter in 1 year, 5 year, 10 years. Play the game for fun, focus on your strengths rather than others' weaknesses, and I promise you'll have fun AND climb if you play ranked.

I've been chat restricted prob 5-6 times. never used racism or hate speech. all it takes is duo + third salty boi to collude and report together to manipulate the algorithm and trigger a chat ban. I've had actual people who used hate speech and racist words in the game and i was the only one who apparently reported him and...ended up seeing him in several games later that day and apparently nothing happened since he could /all chat.

Hate speech, racism, etc., will get you escalated to a 14 or perma ban. Chat restrictions are the normal punishment progression for toxicity. Multiple reports have no influence on whether a game is reviewed nor does it affect your likelihood to get punished.

Unless you're just super toxic or something in one game, you aren't going to get punished. What typically happens is you build up a toxicity meter, so to speak, and once it's full you are punished. Even if you only get chat logs for one game, contact support and they can pull more games where you we're toxic leading to a punishment, if you want.

Youre having a bad luck streak and focusing on them too much. Ive had feeders, sure. Check my match history. You can carry them. Dont go to chat when someone is feeding. I see it too often where my own team will purposely tilt their own ally after they make a mistake. Its so fucking counter productive (and douchey). Dont call out feeders, that will only make them feed more due to some psychological shit. Let them attempt to turn it around, and fucking carry them bro.
