So i took a look at pro play and EVERYONE in pro play is building him like an assassin, full ad+lethality
Is this what the rework should have achieved? I thought he was supposed to be a juggernaut, why is he playing like a squishy burster?

Slave Knight1 votesQuite frankly, the issue is more than the champion itself. Currently the meta still supports the pursuit of damage and one shotting and as Aatrox he's stuck in a tough place right now where he has to decide between getting out scaled and being a dysfunctional juggernaut or forego his intended design and go straight assassin/full damage. It's funny because the rework intended to cement Aatrox's playstyle as a pokey-juggernaut but with how the game works right now, it just doesn't make sense to really play him like that. I'm still trying to make his juggernaut playstyle transition into the late game and 'feel good' and I think conqueror (despite being a flawed rune for someone like Aatrox) is the only answer for that currently. Otherwise, it's dark harvest and building full damage because as far as most mains have experienced, there's not much room for build diversity.

Jaspers1 votesAre the regionals being played on 8.18? He just got buffs to his passive E sustain and R bonus damage, now he's building full damage because he can sustain through things with raw AD instead of getting HP too. Needs a heavy nerf in my view but alas that won't be until after worlds.

EDIT: I just looked at games of legends and saw Aatrox is highest pick ban in pros yet he just got a buff. He's going to be 100% pick ban at worlds isn't he?

full AP so at least I have the chance to one shot someone, rather than trying to engage and die in 2 seconds by the amount of true damage armor pene being in the game (ain't it fun to have 400 armor and dying in 1.7sec to a Master Yi with conqueror ?)

BLACK REALM GOD1 votesgrievous wounds counters regen. aatrox's kit as balanced around regen and nerfed not long after he was re-released. instead of drawing out combat people have decided that it's easier to just 1 shot enemies that arent building armor and run from everything else.
