You wouldn't have to make him another tank.

they gave his q 75 more range... although its not a TON its still nice. I personally would like that the shards of metal that fly off afterwards also proc on hit affects.

i meant, something that is more skillshot oriented. Also, 75 range doesn't really do anything for a champion with 0 movement abilities. (no leap no dash no MS boost nothing.)

The thing is, they want him to be a tank. That's why they tried out that whole "shield gen. scales with health" thing They want him to be an immobile semi-unkillable rock composed entirely of damage that's vulnerable to kiting

They're basically trying the same thing they tried with Gragas, shifting him from glass cannon AP to tank. Although arguably, they failed in that respect with the Fatman (he's still better when built as a Mage), it'll be interesting to see how they fair this time.

Its mainly because AP Bruisers don't have good itemization and Gragas doesn't have any offensive scaling from defensive items.

I'd say it's more because they didn't give grag anyway of dealing sustained damage Once his skills are on cooldown, he can just be ignored and an ignorable bruiser is useless
