Riot did SEVERAL changes to the jungler AP item

Why they NEVER tried to change devourer more than once? This item is cancerous on yi, and it is the only champion that I actually see using this item. Devourer is extremely problematic.

Its suppose to be a risk item. Games are getting shorter and a jungler who has to afk farm till 20 min should not be a problem. I think the diamond player who just posted about ELOHELL, since he went 12/2 as yi, show perfectly what i mean. He lost that game because he farmed while his team got destroyed by the wu jungler who ganked instead.

It is not like yi is not strong without devourer being sated. A yi who only afk farm is bad. He knows when to gank, when to farm

then that is the champ not the item. The item itself is a late game item that requires time, like roa or seraph.

no its the player not the champ or the item. the fact that devourers gets strong late game makes the player that much stronger though. and I don't think the penalty is that big on devourer, the rewards are well worth the 'risk'.

and tbh i don't even mind items that scale into late. the issue with devourer is how different it varies per champion. It just screams unbalanceable.
