pls stop

pickrate means nothing winrate could mean ALOT of things banrate doesn't mean much either

If you don't like the balance of a champion, use other methods of justification that aren't just numbers.

edit: if you want to use these numbers to back your point, go ahead but honestly, these numbers could mean so many different things.

No. what you SHOULD do is make a valid point, and use numbers/statistics to back up your final statement after you explain a few things.

I dislike using the same variable name for 4 different variables.

Numbers used in context with other numbers used as part of a bigger analysis can be better than just casually throwing out intuition about how certain things are. Numbers on their own aren't an argument though.

ur right theres no correlation between people winning a lot while also having tons of people play the champion and the champion being too strong its just a bunch of totally random statistics with no relation to each other and its preposterous to ever assume that a high winrate high playrate champion is anything other than balanced and hard to play with a very dedicated and large playerbase

I'm gonna assume this is sarcasm...

My point is that you can't just label a champ bad or op because of a few stats.

LeBlanc for example has a very low winrate, and not a high pick rate, yet she is highly contested in LCS. numbers aren't everything, real explanations are much better.

that's a different case entirely

if something is op in the lcs it's not necessarily op to the plebes but they might nerf it anyways

if something is op to the plebes then it'll end up getting nerfed because the plebes are most of the playerbase

I'm not sure what kind of real explanation you're looking for because the numbers are right there. Champions usually aren't allowed to have high winrates + high pickrates + high banrates, usually 1 or 2 of the three.

Real explanations are nothing without numbers to back it up though. Having a single stat by itself isn't exactly strong by itself, but when you have stats supporting each other, the numbers speak for themselves.

Say if a champ has a high play rate, a high win rate, and the average player base has sub 30 games on the champ, its most likely OP. You wouldn't need an explanation as to why really.

but numbers give context on the strength of a champion
