Baron throws more games than it wins.

When you are ahead, baron is not needed. It is a false objective where the only team that needs it is the team that is losing. If you are ahead only greed will make you go for baron since you have enough power as is to be ahead of your opponents. Sure the gold and buff help keep or push that lead, but if it gets stolen, you could end up losing the game as a direct result of it.

So make sure you are 100% positive that, when you are ahead, it is a free baron or you can survive it getting stolen away.

if you kill the jungler take an inhibitir and one other person then thats when you go, and if your jungler has smite, other than that most likely dont

it helps solve deadlocks at enemy base where they clear before you can siege (and you do not feel like waiting for them to catch up in gold/exp)

true but in all reality there arnt many deadlocks anymore becuase you can melt towers in 3 seconds from full hp.

a 5v5 under an enemy tower is still a 5v5

towers arn't much use after lvl 3

depends on their composition certain ones you do not want to dive

I've tried to point out that getting a 5th dragon buff might settle things a lot more than getting the baron buff depending on the situation (and also be easier to do quickly before the enemy team can steal) but people are just flat out convinced that you win the game by getting baron.

yeah but if they let you get 5 dragons then they are probably pretty far behind
