That has CC, massive shield, and lack of resource punishment.

Riven

SnugglePuggle942 votes

She only has one stun. One form of CC. Where Ekko has like four.

cFlame29 votes

"one form of CC." Heh. HEHEH. (Q's the third time) Riven

SnugglePuggle945 votes

That one I forgot. No need to be like that.

buhbee7 votes

He wasn't being malicious at all. I think you're the one who shouldn't "be like that".

SnugglePuggle941 votes

Me? I didn't do anything. Just don't want people who need to be grammar nazi's on here.

procrastinasian8 votes

he wasn't being a grammar nazi he was just explaining (in a humorous and harmless way mind you) that you were incorrect. chill lmao

Rootworth1 votes

WTF How's he being a grammar nazi? LOL

SnugglePuggle941 votes

Chill people. It's a big deal in the world about people misspelling you're and they're and a lot of people like to be smart alack with correcting people. I did not know if he was being that way or not but I didn't know for sure. Goodness.

Rootworth1 votes

Are you stupid? No one ever mentioned anything about spelling/grammar (besides you). We're just saying Riven has more than one CC and you just randomly start calling people grammar nazi's.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

A guy corrected my grammar. That's why I mentioned it.

Rootworth3 votes

No one corrected your grammar.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

It's gone. But it was there. I remember getting the notification of it.

Rootworth2 votes

Whatever you say, whatever you say...

But I think you're lying.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

I'm not. Or else I wouldn't have said anything if it hadn't been there.

Rootworth1 votes

Sure...

Trash MammaI1 votes

Ekko only has one stun. Two forms of CC if you count his slow on his Q and yes I know Ekko's ult is free costing but his other skills aren't.

What you typed goes more for Riven than Ekko by far

SnugglePuggle943 votes

Ah no. Ekko has more than she does.

Ah no. Ekko has more than she does.

Not really. He has more slows sure. Riven has an area stun like he does but also has an area knock-up. Thats 2 hard cc to his 1. Slows are not hard cc but ekko has more.

Admittedly Ekko is still superior. He for some reason has higher max health at early ranks, higher ad, higher armor, higher health regen (by nearly triple rivens amount) and at max level either his stats are higher or the same except for health which is barely in favor of riven.

Ekko does have mana but.... doesn't even use it for his ult. Makes no sense. That just flat out makes no sense. Absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Can talon get free ult costs? Like, I don't understand the reasoning. Mana should be a valid drawback but apparently isnt even an issue. I like ekko alot. I think his kit is really interesting. The numbers however are just too much.

They both have a shield and ekkos is far superior for sure.

Honestly.. I have no fucking idea. Riven still seems pretty fucking insane. Her damage scaling is phenomenal. She gets a fat shield. She has 2 forms of hard cc and 2 dashes along with a ranged execute and even more built in damage from her passive.

I'm glad ekko is here.

SnugglePuggle944 votes

I'm not. He's way too overpowered and overloaded. I want him deleted.

Aych Pii2 votes

Two slows and a stun on a three second delay, yeah. Riven has two different options just for AoE hard CC.

Hypochondria92 votes

The stun field also slows, so he has 3 slows.

Aych Pii1 votes

Right, I forgot that one. Fair enough.

Desmond Law2 votes

Passive has a slow, so 4 slows

Chief Kebbie1 votes

He has two, his dodgeable q and his avoidable w (W should be smaller area or telgraphed harder).

Hypochondria91 votes

His passive slows

Riot: "lets make a long range, immobile mage with CC and Zonning, who's key weakness is his immobility and his vulnerability to all in potential.

Releases Velkoz nobody plays him.

Riot: "huh, Guess no one like Immobile Siege mages. Lets just stick with the Hyper Mobile champions."

Riot: "how about we improve the short range immobile champs with Extra damage, and reliable CC?"

Cho' starts seeing LCS play. Cho and Annie face endless QQ.

Riot: "ugh, maybe not."

Seriously though, is their any way to make an Immobile champion, Competetively Balanced, Interesting to play (and to watch), and not making it the QQ target of the year? IF their is, let me know.

the problem is usually not that champions are mobile, but when their mobility doesnt have enough conditions attached to it.

despite all the shit he had to take, yasuo is an example for a very well designed mobile champion. his mobility comes with enough strings attached, that you can outposition him even with a relatively immobile champion.

the reason why so many people complained about his mobility, was probably because they never bothered to really look into his tooltips and tried to abuse these conditions. they just get confused by him dashing around over minions without really paying attention to where he can actually move.

i can beat zed in lane on garen, by either dodging his q spam, or engaging on him when his energy runs low enough to not be able to w. his mobility is attached to his energy pool and not available when he runs out.

but champions like leblanc, kassadin or anyone with free flashes built into their kits are of course much harder to deal with. they need more restrictions attached to when they actually can use these abilities so low mobility champs have a chance of playing around these abilities and can actually fight them.

for example if leblanc was forced to blink back to her original position after a certain amount of time, it would be possible to outmaneuver her and engage on the position she would return to.

i know ranged mobile champs are the extreme example, which is why it bothers me even more that so many of them have very little conditions attached to their mobility. gnar is another piece of bullshit, who can hop in or out of range as he pleases. the fact that he gets ba double jump by hopping over a minion is an advantage, but he doesnt have a disadvantage if he doesnt double hop.

Xerath? Nami? Varus?

Where are you hearing Cho QQ from anyways? He's kitable, has a telegraphed Q and is fairly weak when his CDs are down. Maybe he scales too well for how safe his laning is but I don't think he's unfun to play against.

I Main Swain5 votes

varus isn't balanced at all, he sucks pretty bad. xerath was pretty qq'd, and I can see why considering that every xerath I saw in game had a kill death ratio of at least 7:1 (I seriously doubt it's like that at all levels, but I saw him frequently enough that its pretty ridiculous that it happened every game).

as for chogath, people qq about him all the time actually, that's why he's banned every freaking game cries

AbsoluteSadman1 votes

You dont care though right? Because you main swain?

No? okay...

I Main Swain1 votes

I main swain, doesn't mean I only play swain. id say that 90% of my matches consist of 10 champs or so, swain being the highest and my favorite.

Trash MammaI1 votes

To be honest telegraphed attacks don't really matter to people. Otherwise there's no reason to cry about Ekko since all his attacks are telegraphed hard

Durzaka2 votes

Xerath was a huge fucking problem when he was strong and popular.

And Varus is incredibly far from balanced.

aperson11 votes

Every champ is a huge problem when they are strong and popular.

I don't think Varus is that bad. Hard to itemize against, good poke, decent self-peel/wombo followup. But I don't really play him so IDK.

Durzaka1 votes

Thats the point...

Seriously though, is their any way to make an Immobile champion, Competetively Balanced, Interesting to play (and to watch), and not making it the QQ target of the year?

Thats what he said, and you listed Xerath, which plays straight into what he said. He was competitive a while, was fun to watch, and was complained about A LOT.

Varus is only bad because he doesnt provide any extra damage for his lack of mobility. There is no reason to pick him over more mobile or safe ADCs because they deal the same damage (comparatively).

He's a CC utility pick like Ashe. Plus he has %max health damage. He's not suppose to have mobility because he has CC.

Durzaka2 votes

Caitlyn Jinx Quinn Vayne

What was that about having CC but no mobility?

Regardless, the ADC doesnt need to bring CC, there are plenty of positions for that. They are there for sustained AD. And high amounts of it.

Ashe is strong right now for multiple reasons, and her ult is probably the least of it. (not she still had the same ult before the rework and she was thoroughly average when it came to ADC).

It is more that ther CC is strong and not easy to deal with.

Also the ability to blow up someone just as fast as Leblanc is not enjoyable.

DeusVult2 votes

Velkoz is the most balanced champ in all of league

but the reason that people don't play him is because there are champs like LB and ekko who do the same thing, but are safer.

And safety, especially at the higher ELOs, is everything

Martyrofsand2 votes

Orianna, while a few people QQ about her its a small minority and she is immobile, only having a move speed boost, and a lot of fun to watch especially if she is on top of shockwaves.

Actually, Riot's releasing a new Darkin adc champion.

Aatrox'sFather: Passive: Better than u skrubs:Gets a 300/400/500(+50% AD) shield whenever Aatrox'sFather autoattacks. Opness: Gains 20 stacks of OPness per spell cast and 10 per autoattack. At 100, AAtrox'sFather becomes invulnerable for 4/5/6 seconds. I own u inside:autoattacks do a bonus 5/7/9% hp damage in true damage.

Q: die weak champions>launches out a projectile at the enemy target, stunning them for 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds and dealing 100/140/180/200/250(+.9 AD) damage. Range:800 CD:4

W:AAtrox leap suckss> Leaps into the air and lands at a target location, dealing 120/140/180/220/260(+.5 AD) true damage ,knocking up for 1.5 seconds and slowing for 40% for 3 seconds. Range: 1400 CD:7

E:bye i mobile>blinks to a location, dealing 200/210/220/250/300(+.4AD) damage. Range:2000 CD:10

R:ekt>Instantly gains full stacks of OPness and charges to a target location, dealing 400/500/600(+1.6 AD) damage in a 600 unit radius and stunning for 2/3/4 seconds. Range:900 CD:70/60/50

This champion was made by the best game designer in the world, the one and only, CertainlyT

I Main Swain2 votes

in all seriousness though, can we get more action from the Darkin?

Vistha Kai5 votes

That's not CertainlyT enough.

DeusVult1 votes

Not enough passive/other passive/active components on all of the spells

also, no % max health spells

Tourian2 votes

No true damage either and no knockup.

SlushieDee1 votes

CertainlyT would probably add a true damage %max health spell. Oh, and it'd have the knockup on it, because "knockups are more fun for the user"

SlushieDee8 votes

Hate to break it to you, but they probably already have this champion nearly done and are almost ready to put it on the PBE...

Thanks CertainlyT, we love watching our opponents blink 8 screens away.
