Being Tragically Reworked is Better than Banality
I think I'd rather have a rework that was really bad, or really OP because it's immediately known to need addressing. Does Galio suck again? Fine. People know. Does Ryze need a third rework? it's not good, and you'd definitely be fired for that shit anywhere I've ever worked, but it's known and people are moving on it.
But I main Maokai. And when you're doing OK you're not ever going to get addressed.
Not your lackluster ult. Not your downgrade of a VO change. Not your half-assed status in three different roles or your strong, albeit imbalanced abilities. Seeds are cool in the brush. But everywhere else they're erratic, inconsistent, and weak.
I didn't come here to present hard data and airtight rhetorical fireworks. I'm grieving out loud. I miss his long range W. I go back and forth on his new passive. His ult is boring just like his Q has always been. And it makes me sad that he had a near one-hit-wonder level of fleeting fame that got the shit nerfed out of him and a victorious skin which, of all the things, I now can't complete his skin line (that's a shitload for that one.) I just wonder why you had to shit on my dreams. I don't play this game for celebrity or Patreon funding. I play it to get away from my problems. And now I'm taking on leagues. They need change, and revenue, and big plays.
I just wanted a tree, man. A tree you could have left in jungling obscurity and I would have been happy but you had to soil the good name of Maokai. And I just want you to know, when you lay your head on your pillow at night, that I hate you.
