Potential League voice chat?

I heard about this sometime last year from a riot employee that they were considering implementing a voice chat into league (sort of like the one they have in overwatch right now) However, the idea seemed to just have dissolved. Can a riot member confirm that the idea is dead or is it still being considered?

I feel like a voice chat would be a lot better with REDUCING toxicity. (Often times i think people are less aggressive and more modest when speaking with their voice) Furthermore, a voice chat enhances communication and team macro which intrinsically makes the game easier to play as teammates are able to connect more efficently. I do feel that toxicity may potentially become more potent, but i think people are more willing to mute a voice chat rather than a text chat.

I find myself often inviting my team to a discord chat in my ranked games and sometimes that gets a little bit mundane, if League were to have an in-game chat, definitely help with making the game more enjoyable. Thanks for reading!
