How can ii even climb when riot actively works against me to make sure i can't climb?

i'm currently sitting at diamond 4 with a 54% winrate. My problem has nothing to do with how ranked works but rather the amount of lp i gain per win and lose per loss. Last season my winrate wasn't so good sitting at around 49-48% because i tanked a lot of games in diamond 4 0 lp. I decided i would wait for the season to be over and start "fresh" this season. Immediately as soon as i started the season off, i was getting very low mmr (around 17-19 and losing about 12-13) in PLATINUM 4. when i finished last season in diamond 4. I definetely don't belong there so i quickly escaped within a week with a 72% winrate at around 40 games played. Once i reached diamond 4 however, my lp gains PLUMMETED. I was gaining around 15 lp per win and losing about the same amount (sometimes even more) I tanked a 6 game loss streak in diamond 4 0 lp and now that i'm gaining lp again i've realized that im gaining 14 LP AND LOSING 24. How does riot even expect me to climb or play ranked with this kind of a system that punishes losses so severely and rewards so small. Don't even tell me i belong in diamond 4 as well, i have 2 other accounts that are currently sitting in diamond 2 and diamond 3. I don't play on them as much as they are smurf accounts. I don't want to give up on this account as i've invested a LOT of time, money and energy into it. Winstreaks don't raise my mmr that much but loss streaks drop it like and entire tier. It's actually ridiculous.

Buy more skins, that'll clearly help.

If you buy something and play with it equiped you are more likely to win so that you feel good about your purchase. This was talked about in article where someone did real research on the league matcmaking system.

You don't. But be sure to continue spending money on the game so it can last a day longer and land on the day Riot decides to they want to actually make some great changes that will improve the game's state unlike ever before.

Because youre now in the top tier of players, and there have to be less above you. The rules change drastically starting at that level.

Reminder that MMR never should have been removed and they did so not to prevent toxicity but so they could play fast and loose with match making and not get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

the thing is with the way that the ladder is shaping up to be were looking at ranks being closer to the way they were in season 8 so ya being d2 d3 season 9 is the same as being d4 in season 8. so your acc which is d4 is probably where it belongs. for reference:

they admitted on an ask riot (forgot which one) that they actively want you to play more games, and, well, the higher elo you are, the more games you have to play bc you want to keep climbing. But if you have to play MORE games to get to the same level as someone who could play less games in season 5 lets say, then that would mean you play less games. I hope that makes sense idk

I would be inclined to question if the smurf accounts have an unfair advantage in terms of LP gain. It seems to me that an account with more games played on it should be more stable and accurate in terms of MMR than smurf accounts with fewer games.

Supposedly, other players have been noticing that their smurf accounts are outperforming their main accounts in terms of LP. That could be an interesting and difficult problem for RIOT to address! It's really hard for me to make any sort of recommendation without data on the issue but...

The problem is likely an extension of the fact that the greatest LP gains are seen on accounts with the fewest number of wins achieved. For example, on soft reset, you notice that you gain more LP for the first few games that you win and less LP for the later games that you win? The solution might be to mitigate LP gains on accounts with fewer wins. How RIOT handles smurf accounts is really very important to any sort of proper analysis here.

Hm actually its not all about win ratio. I think it matters which game you are winning and losing. I saw your match history and it seems the you are losing the games with higher MMR (guessed by op.gg) and winning low MMR ones. This is a pattern which tells the matchmaking system that you are not doing ok in higher elo so its just pushing you away from there. Also if you are stuck at 0 lp at d4 and loss a lot and you dont get to plat 1 it means that your MMR is taking a hit which also decreases your chances to climb.

This can be fixed with a good winning streak , which is only possible with some duo that you can coop with. Solo ....its going to be very hard assuming that you are with diamond micro and macro. Like you need 6 wins in a row to tell the system - "LOOK AT ME I AM STOMPING HERE GET ME OUT" but at the same time thats kinda impossible because you are paired (or at least should be) with same level players...

Matchmaking is at bad spot right now. You dont complain about matchmaking but its actually its fault there.

Look at what happened to me previous season. Went from plat 1-2 to diamond in a huge winning streak. I was in very good shape, just owned them all. When I entered dia 4 i was hoping for more high skill level of macro and micro but then it hit me. ONLY LOSES in a big fukin row. Not because it was harder, it was because I was paired with the worse kind of dia 4 players, the ones who are going to be demoted. So I got demoted as well. Finally i climbed back again went to dia 3 but the point is the following - your MMR decides what team you will be paired with. You can have good win/lose ratio but somehow your MMR can be behind which will always lead to be put in the bad spot. This is further increased with promos because promos are like the dark side of the net. It brings you players that shouldn't even exist in the game.
