So it basically all other "Ranged " top laners able to easily proc Conquer while Urgot can't

ValiantKiller··10 votes·5,178 views

Ryze Cassiopeia etc because their ability to have short CDR on their skills. While on other handGangplank let me stack a whole conquer easily by just pressing and smashing my head over Q.

An d here is the poor Urgot can't do shit or able to full proc it easily, while other ranged toxic champions due to their in build skills and AA can just proc Conquer from first second in game and that when the they have like twice his range

Yes i do want them to be viable like how Garen being that spin to win braindead champions for months now.

so because one champion is currently overtuned, you want to overtune another champion?

overtuned ? All what we ask for is viable pick that doesn't mean you going to kill yourself by picking it.

Once you get the toggle tho, it sounds pretty easy to trigger it.

If you can actually touch anyone, Urgot's W shoots 3 times per 1 second so you just have to hit E then hold W on them for 3 seconds

Sounds very easy doesn't it [sg-janna]

You know despite Urgot's main damage being in his passive legs and usually when playing Urgot you have a very minimal window of engage if at all so you have to force your legs around them once you've E'd them so by the time Conqueror comes up you've already wasted your main damage source and they're able to get away

Right keep trying to hit them till you out of mana, while mages can point to click their ability and proc it easily.

HommeGoujon1 votes

I didn't know you should play Urgot the same way you play mages. MY BAD. How did you play with old conqueror?

Z3SIeeper1 votes

I'll help you out man, don't seem to get it yet.

So Urgot's Q doesn't do that much damage or slow enough for Urgot to catch literally anyone. It slows them by enough for him to get close enough to get a basic attack in.

That said, the only way he is gonna land E is just that, by landing E itself. Essentially, Urgot is a melee champion with 150 more range (compared to the +275 range typical of other ranged champs). He doesn't function in any way like a ranged champion does.

Now here's the argument brought up in the OP:

  • Cassiopeia (or another spammy mage) procs Conqueror in 1s and can keep it up indefinitely so long as the opponent comes into I think 600 range at all at least once every 5s.
  • Urgot procs it in a EQ,AA,W1W2W3W4W5. Excluding the EQ time, the AA -> W5 takes a total of ~1.3 seconds. So not only does he proc it slower and not have it up for the majority of his combo (to which he also has moderate cooldowns), but he can only also do this reactively rather than aggressively.

Previously Conqueror was full-stacked on the 2nd W hit, a full second faster than the current one.

Sounds like youre not complaining about conqueror. Yes urgot is more a short ranged bruiser type than an actual ranged damage dealer, and definitely isnt a mage.

I talking about a champion that is getting worst patch by patch to the point that long range champions able to proc a keystone that supposed to be used by his likes but he can't even use it well anymore.

Pick a different rune then. Its preseason, if its REALLY an issue he will get kit changes/buffs.

You save your Q after you E them so you can slow them while they're presumably running away from you or if you managed to die once in laning phase, to peel yourself away from them

You don't use Q offensively unless you're CSing/poke damage/gank setup

HommeGoujon1 votes

Whatever, I don't play this champ (btw, if you use your Q to chase someone, it sounds pretty "offensive" to me). I just find it odd to post a thread to complain not about mages being toxic with this rune, but about Urgot not being as toxic.

Obviously it's offensive lol but you're talking about using Urgot's Q in a way Urgot mains wouldn't ever throw out his Q tho

You don't Q > E > W unless you're absurdly fed You walk up to them E then W then wait for them to toggle out of W range then Q them or if you're losing the trade you just Q the ground before you and run to your tower

But ya most of Urgot's hard counters in the top lane are mages so it's understandable that someone who plays Urgot feels bad about mages using his best keystone better than him - when it's not designed for them [sg-zephyr]

HommeGoujon2 votes

I know how it feels to play vs that shit, trust me lol I hear what you're saying about the use of his Q though

Not to mention Q and E are skillshots that cost alot of mana while some other braindead champions having point to click spells that./

Actually, no. Abilities that can hit multiple times in one activation will either give one Conqueror stack or zero. Sivir's Ricochet, Anivia's Ult, etc. give zero stacks.

Idk man, did you get the news? If you scramble a few letters of the important changes in the patch notes together, you get the sentence "fuck toplaners, and fuck urgot" Yeah, its hard to believe as a top main that something like that exists in the patch notes*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

I do believe it, i read it every patch

me too man, me too. I live with the fact that even if I try hard, its not enough to win the game with the amount of top shafting.

Best part seeing that enemy top laner being a trash with 0-7 death yet win a game because their bot just better, lmao

Oh yeah, then they go in lobby and say, "better top wins xd"

I main urgot, and legit all i want is q mana cost back to 40 and e to be able to cross terrain. So i can actually get cs in oppressive lanes without losing all my mana in 4 q's while whatever is pressing me away from getting close spams their abilities on cd while staying above 70% mana. And so i dont keep e'ing on the spot whenever there's a dead tower on my screen and to actually wall hop like 99% of the other champions with a dash. Oh and slightly higher movespeed, since you know, everyone else seems to have some form of movespeed steroid while I have one of the lowest base movespeeds and a movespeed anti-steroid on w.

I think the way to bring Conq back on Urgot would be to change his W to count as a spell hit with on-hits instead of an AA. Then Conq would be back to it's old effectiveness for him.

but that would mean he doesent proc black cleaver with his w,which i think most people buy on him

it already putting some reduced on- hit damage.

EATARI1 votes

I’m aware, I just wanted to be clear that it still applies on-hits at 50% of their damage. Basically, the ability would operate the same as before, except on-attack items like Runaan’s wouldn’t work, but spell damage items like Liandry’s would. More pertinent to this topic however, is that each shot would add 2 stacks of conqueror, making it’s effectiveness more akin to pre-patch 9.23. Unless I’m mistaken, and the on-hit portion would cause it to actually gain 3 stacks each shot. I don’t know, I’m not a doctor.

Scale like monster ? Kayle scaling is what called a monster scale.

Kayle will never be a bruiser with Urgot's level of scaling. Kayle is just a ghetto ADC that was living off klepto and the safety of ranegd vs. melee match ups.

Urgot's laning is also nowhere near as atrocious as Kayle's and his power spikes come earlier.

Of course a champ as fragile and as backloaded as Kayle should scale better.

Urgot is the best scaling bruiser bar none.

Sir Inugami1 votes

Sivir suffers a very similar problem. Since her Ricochet bounces to multiple targets, it won't proc Conqueror stacks at all (not even on the first target hit) and makes the rune basically trash on her since the healing part also doesn't proc on it.
