Veigar got a really good buff to his E.

Explanation?

It's simple, really. His warning particle starts INSTANTLY (not after cast time) and lasts for .5 seconds, then his wall pops up.

So basically, it's close to (or is) Veigar's stun pre 5.4.

Well done, riot! (not kidding here)

Lasts for .75 seconds.

According to the 5.5 notes, its down to .50 seconds in addition to the warning particle now appearing at the start of the animation (rather than the end)

E - Event Horizon DELAY BEFORE WALLS APPEAR 0.75 ⇒ 0.5 WARNING PARTICLE DISPLAY After cast time ⇒ On cast

Interesting because the former of the two changes wasn't on the PBE (though its not the first time something has happened without ever being on the PBE)

The dash-stopping effect will be on as well (confirmed that it was supposed to be on as well, but was pulled until 5.6 due to a last minute bug)

Edit: As a quick comparison between the 3 versions of Veigar's E stun delay

Pre 5.4: .25 seconds

5.4: 1 second

5.5: .50 seconds

If thats the case, then oopsies.

I forget that Riot has a PBE and doesn't actually test all of their changes (not that I don't approve of the changes)

Well.... I actually think they could have done better. I would rather them give him .5 seconds of casting and have it appear. Currently, they are still telegraphing when and where the stun will appear, allowing others to dash away or walk away. better? yes, great? no. With the way i have suggested, he will obviously be casting, but you don't know exactly where. This also would really improve counterplay through vision. if you cant see him and he casts it, you are screwed because it will just appear. (now you get a warning and can just jump or walk away. or stay inside and duel him). However, if he thinks he is sneaky and is casting it in a warded bush. he is standing still for a full .5 seconds. Free skill shots!!! So while i think this is a step in the right direction, it needs more.

Also, his W still is stale. It needs a lot more work
