Can a Rioter confirm my 1/8 games top rank will carry over instead of my 8/8 games mid rank?

I did my placements mid, went 1W-7L, got insanely frustrated since I won lane convincingly in 6 of my 7 losses and basically quit.

I had finished plat 4 last season, and placed Gold 4, 56 LP mid lane (my main role).

Upon seeing the post for canceling role ranked: "Your highest position rank becomes your new rank. We’ll preserve your rank, LP, and promotion series status and progress. If your highest rank is provisional, it will carry over with the same number of games remaining."

I saw hope to recover from my disastrously unlucky placements. So I played a single game of jungle, lost, and got placed gold 4, 0LP. My mid dropped to gold 4, 53 LP. Then I played a single game of top, won, and got placed gold 4, 58LP. My mid gained to gold 4, 56LP, and jungle to Gold 4, 3LP.

So in my opinion, my current "highest position rank" is top. It has the most LP. However on my ranked solo page, mid shows as my main rank (i.e. it's the one in the center).

So I'm hoping to confirm that my rank when things reset will be Gold 4, 58LP with 1 of 8 placements completed (leaving me room to get to Gold 2 or Gold 1 by the end of placements v2) Not Gold 4, 56LP, with all placements completed (meaning I'd probably have to play an extra 100+ games just to get back there which is why I basically quit in the first place).
