Uh... It wouldn't work since I can be facing away from the enemy and use Wind Slash backwards due to it being a skill shot that you control.

I see your point with that now that I think about it. Though I doubt even on Riven doing a change like that wouldn't make her perma banned.

Her kit revolves around her ability to animation cancel and she is heavily balanced around it as well. Its also a good way to tell a bad Riven player from a good Riven player.

That is why I said I would doubt putting an indicator which direction it would go... Riven's Windslash already has an indicator on where it goes just like pretty much every other skillshot in the game. Just use smart case instead of quick cast if you're having problems identifying the range.
