As i am 0/8/32. When i have more assists than the enemy has kills. Okie dokie. #JustSupportThings~ PSA- SUPPORTS WILL PROBABLY NEVER HAVE KILLS unless they go ap "support". So stop factoring it as 0/6 and factor it as0/6/30

because playing support good means sometimes you have to take one for the team.

i dont always support but i do often... and i have seen plays like our adc is slightly out of position and gets caught out, but our Leona goes in... dies... but in doing so gets our adc a triple and her out alive.

thats deaths and 3 assists.. and her adc got a triple and SAVED HER from otherwise certain death BECAUSE Leona went in and saved her.. and died to give it to her.

granted this is a rare occasion.

but saying "0/8/32 is feeding is RARELY true on a support"

more than likely the support CHOOSE to take the death to keep another teammate alive.

i mean ideally we would have liked the support to live through the fight too. but that's what u need to do as support. take one for the team...

that's OUR JOB.

That feel when you end the game a 4/0/20 Janna and your Twitch is raging at you because they end 5/6/12

Kill securing is fun.

lol, I once had a game where I was the support and literally had the inverse KDA of my carry and they freaked out because they were the one making stupid plays and i just mopped up after they died XD

Its All Skillzz5 votes

how you managed to die 8 times on janna???? freaking feeder.

FilDaFunk5 votes

Don't factor it as 0/6, factor it as 36/6

SirΤeemο4 votes

nice assists,, but still too many deaths . 8 deaths can make someone get fed and lose the game after all.. by the way, being support is not an excuse for dying :p .

Battlecast Sona44 votes

0/8/32 is a completely acceptable score. Securing 32 kills in exchange for 8 deaths is way more than okay.

You wouldn't look at a carry who was 32/8 and call them a feeder so why would you call a support who was 0/8/32 the same, especially since there are no killstreaks to really worry about so they're only giving base gold each time they die.

It's not that it's an "excuse" for dying, it's that for some reason people's brains don't work properly unless the big number is in the K slot instead of the A, especially considering supports are the people least able to flexibly build items for personal survivability, since you're generally filling your inventory with items to assist your team more than yourself.

An Undead brat3 votes

You wouldn't look at a carry who was 32/8 and call them a feeder so why would you call a support who was 0/8/32 the same

Because assissts are obtainable by only AAing the dying target once or shielding one of the other champions in the last second before the kill happens, which is no effort - how many of those assists did they get with the same effort as the 32 kills the other people get? 15? One shield on a carry in already a won teamfight and you got a pentassist. And 0/8/15 is as impressive as 15/8 - not that much. Good, but not that much, especially if you compare it to 32/8.

Nymzo10 votes

Because assissts are obtainable by only AAing the dying target once or shielding one of the other champions

Or you know... by using cc

... or items

... or summoners spells

also only for dying target? Does that mean we get jack shit for small fights or teamfight?

in the last second before the kill happens, which is no effort

A scenario which happen maybe once or twice in a game if you are lucky enough?

Also last hitting a dying champion doesn't require that much effort either.

how many of those assists did they get with the same effort as the 32 kills the other people get? 15?

That depends on the game itself but assuming the 32 kills is the adc, I'm going to say almost all of them.

One shield on a carry in already a won teamfight and you got a pentassist.

Yes it's a won teamfight, so what? The support probably provided all he could.

If you meant a won teamfight when all the support had to do is to shield at the last minute for the assists, then the enemy were terrible/too much behind and deserved to lose the game.

And 0/8/15 is as impressive as 15/8 - not that much. Good, but not that much, especially if you compare it to 32/8.

Um... yes? 32/8 is obviously better than 15/8 so... what?

I see, alot of support circlejerkers here - but I asked for it, I knew how Boards work, lul

Nymzo15 votes

I don't think you really know what is a ''circle jerker''.

I don't know what you really expected. Did you assume everyone was going to be agree with you? New flash: there's always someone that will never be agree with you.

The problem is that you post what seem to be a fact, not an opinion. A fact is that is mostly wrong because you know almost nothing on the subject.

https://eune.op.gg/summoner/userName=Sexy+Bisex+Plant

Like come on, I know you can watch pro players but if you talk about a role that you rarely play, at least get your stats right.

Yes you can get ''easy'' assists but it's very rare. You earn your assists as a support as much as a mid laner earn his kills, most of the time.

Btw, circlejerks, most of the time, don't bring arguments. I did, but you choose to ignore them. I even asked 3 questions but you responded to none.

An Undead brat1 votes

Yes, your argument is "Boooo it is hard to get an assist", wow.

This is the support circlejerk. "Oh my gosh we're so underappreciated, we do so much, but it's exactly as hard to get a kill as to get an assist. Tell me then why does everybody in the team always have tons of assists, or at least the same with their kills included, but not so many kills? Because most of the time you only need to stand next to the event to get it. It's everything but rare.

I don't know what you really expected. Did you assume everyone was going to be agree with you? New flash: there's always someone that will never be agree with you.

What the fuck? I specifically said I didn't know what I expected, but if anything, I expected at least some reasonable people to come - which I immediately gave up because Boards.

Edit: And why did I not respond to anything you said? Because it would be pointless, because C I R C L E J E R K

Yes, your argument is "Boooo it is hard to get an assist", wow.

... no?

Yes you can get ''easy'' assists but it's very rare. You earn your assists as a support as much as a mid laner earn his kills, most of the time.

Last time I checked, earn doesn't mean hard, you just have to earn you assists.

This is the support circlejerk. "Oh my gosh we're so underappreciated, we do so much, but it's exactly as hard to get a kill as to get an assist.

First of all, I don't even talk about us being underappreciated, so what's the point bringing that here? Because you seem to bring that up just to make fun of us.

Also yes that's how it works: you attack the target, you kill the target, one of you get the kill while the other get the assist. Simple, right?

Tell me then why does everybody in the team always have tons of assists, or at least the same with their kills included, but not so many kills?

Because that's how the game works?

Because in teamfights, you will get a ton of assists assuming you win almost all of them?

Because not everybody can get the killing blow?

Because most of the time you only need to stand next to the event to get it. It's everything but rare.

If you stand still in a teamfight, you will:

A. Get killed B. Earn no assists because you did do jack shit and the people that you autoed didn't die in the fight. C. Maybe even lose the game

What the fuck? I specifically said I didn't know what I expected, but if anything, I expected at least some reasonable people to come - which I immediately gave up because Boards.

That's a lie: you didn't expect reasonable people; you expected some people to be on your side. Anyone with common sense would never be on your side for this thread because anyone can see that you made your facts out of your ass .

I did not post your op.gg for nothing, I posted this to prove to anyone reading this that you have no idea about what you're talking about and you got nothing to back you up: no experience and no general ideas with the help of pros (because I really doubt that someone that hate supports would watch any pros that play it and I mean stream, not lcs).

The most experience that you get from support is when you are autofilled , at best, since your main can roleplay as one.

Btw, I'm reasonable, I brought arguments, questions and my opinion to you but you choose to ignore most of them and harass me or anyone that has a different opinion then you instead of bringing actual arguments.

Edit: And why did I not respond to anything you said? Because it would be pointless, because C I R C L E J E R K

That's ironic: the way you harass the person instead of bringing actual arguments could actually make you a circle jerk.

But hey that's none of my business.

KoKoboto2 votes

Yep, I'd say I main support after adc although I play all roles a lot. Posts like these are cancer like please just stop bitching.

Battlecast Sona4 votes

because it's SO much harder to get a kill, right? You have to deal a certain % of the damage, and you have to... oh, wait, you don't? All you have to do is secure the last hit which is just as easy as getting an assist but people act like it's SUCH a big deal?

Seriously. Your entire argument for why assists are easy to get also applies to kills - you can deal 0 damage but deal the last 10 and get a kill. The implication that it's somehow harder to get kills only applies if you are, I dunno, playing a support who generally doesn't deal the kind of damage to reliably secure last hits, or something.

It's like the entire reason assists exist is to show that the supports are participating in the kills, or something, and yet people continue to try and talk shit about assists like they don't matter.

An Undead brat2 votes

Sexy Jack Rabbit2 votes

Tbh I find ADC's considerably easier to play then supports tbh. You just get babysat till hyper-state. Its not exactly hard to do well as an ADC.

RenownedWheat421 votes

Jesus fuck yes it is. I would MUCH rather supp then go ADC.

Sexy Jack Rabbit1 votes

You think? Just play MF, Caitlyn, Ashe, or Vayne and just rake in those sweet victory screens.

It's obviously just whichever role you prefer, but tbh any1 who says ADC is hard, isn't saying it because the role is hard, but because they're picking hard champions.

RenownedWheat421 votes

I've played every marksman besides Twitch and the role is ridiculous imho.

Going in and relying only on yourself, I'd still much rather be the support. If my ADC is an idiot, I can still get him fed by my plays. If my supp is an idiot, I can't do much early.

Weasel Kensei4 votes

So you know, "only AAing the dying target once," so long as its the last AA can be a low effort activity too. I often set up kills for the ADC, then after 100-40% rotation on a CC'd target... I walk away for them to get the kill. Iv had many lanes with the ADC KDA and mine looking like:

ADC 5/1/1 Sup 1/2/5

Now you see an amazing ADC and a free-loading support dont'ya? I see me getting the ADC fed.

You clearly have a lame view of supports and it makes you very biased. Some of us are working harder for those assist than you may think. While sometimes I kill the opponent its because I fear my ADC HP is too low to risk leaving the kill for them. They can have the assist, and take comfort that the enemy is not farming for a while.

Here, this is a video of me casually dicking off "just AAing" for penta assist and not really putting in any effort, cause you know supports just AA stuff and thats it :/

I don't know, I've gotten similar reactions when I'm playing support Taric. People have a difficult time remembering that kills are not the sole factor of winning, and that objectives, assists, and protection of teammates also factors in. I partially attribute this to the "essentialness" (if you will) of killing in other types of video games, whereas in League, your team could theoretically win the game without a single kill.

IGotScuttleCrabs3 votes

Make a team centered around taking towers and never killing. Everyone runs TP and builds a ZzRotfor max split pushing.

I'm thinking either: Tryndamere or Nasus top Ziggs mid Caitlyn and Janna bot And maybe Shen jungle? Can't think of many jungers great at tower taking but he's a good split pusher.

Erractic Eick1 votes

I want to try this now.

SH Azykan1 votes

Shen Udyr Ziggs Yorick Malzahar was a comp me and my friends ran with yorick + malz bot lane. we ended several games in around 14 minutes just from the sheer tower pushing after we 5 manned bot lane at level 6 and the enemy team not showing up to stop us or just lacking the waveclear to do so. and even if our cheese level 6 inhib push failed we could fall back on ziggs waveclear and the massive split push pressure we could get with a malz dissuading us getting dove to grind out wins with very few kills. (unless the enemy adc + support were short ranged + immobile in which bot lane always got so many kills...the kill pressure of ghouls + malz voidlings is scary)

sadly this was before the malz repeated nerfs, so doesnt work nearly as well anymore =\

Lauchmelder2 votes

Trynd top Yi jungle Orianna mid (waveclear) Tristana ADC Ziggs support

Orianna waveclears mid, bot takes the tier 1 tower once the enemy bot backs.

Bot moves to mid, take that tower. Rinse and repeat.

Trynd and Yi become a splitpushing threat once your team falls behind because you have enough waveclear to deny the enemy team towerpushing.

Ho I am a "support" just like you. I may not have shields or heals, but I do have peel. I offer CC to protect my ADC, can secure them kills, and can carry them through the early game so that they can do their thing later. I have vision on my W and can take a Rift Scuttler without wasting a full minute of my time.

I don't have to build Redemption, Locket, or Frozen Heart, but I will on occasion because I'm nice and that's what a support does.

Plus I first-backed my Sightstone, what do you care after that?

I think most people would agree that 0/8/32 is a good score on a support. Who are you directing the PSA to? People who think that you were inting, probably doesn't go on Boards, let alone understand how the game works.

Though, I have met an actual Inting Janna once, who was something like 3/15/27. Just ran it down mid and bought shiv and autoattacked me. I didn't attack at her all and let her get executed, so I wouldn't get kill gold. Though few times my AOE from desperate power hit her. I did told her to stop but she said was autofilled. The sad thing is, I LOST. My team fucking chased Janna around as she roamed in our side of the map. I pinged them to back off, to have some decency to not farm an inting enemy. "it already 5v4 ignore her lets end and not make them suffer". Three dumbasses on my team chased the Janna from mid to Baron, to blue-side blue, to wolves, back to mid, to blue-side red... While enemy just storms our base.

Lauchmelder2 votes

Meh, it's still 8 deaths.

The score isn't bad in most cases, but take note of OP saying that he played Janna

He died 8 times on the best peel support in the game. Everything has 2 sides.

Not really. I tend to pick up kills randomly on supports for just autoing in fights and have little to no ap most of the time. Sure if I built full AP I'd probably get more like that but it can still happen without it.

I don't think score is all that relevant. The support's score is often representative of the adc's score. If I'm janna and my adc sucks ass. I'm still gonna die keeping the shitcycle alive. That doesn't make me bad, it means I'm doing what is expected of a support.

Bard Blyat Bard1 votes

I have heard that often in my 7 years here. It was however not the actual score that made them say that, I experienced it when it looked like you were dying two or three stupid deaths. I mean, "intentional feeding" bascially happens at the very first death on purpose (emphasis on purpose). When you see a Janna clicking on the map, probably changing music in Windows and coming back being caught by their jungler mid-ways, she is in the eyes of your mates "walking into the enemy on purpose". I had this one, too, pretty recently as Teemo, when I had a bad perception of timing and when I tabbed back into the game, I apparently ran into a Nautilus and died without any fighting back - "repor Teemo for feed on purpose".

I so far never heard anyone saying "for x deaths". It's just one or two particular deaths triggering, often I have been "feeding and trolling" when having a KDA of 5.0 (my average KDA as Bard)... So just don't mind them bobs.^^
