I think its unfair Zed has 600 Hp at lvl 1 when starting the game with a long sword/3 potions.

Most champs need to start the game with a doran item to have about 600 hp at lvl 1. Zed gets this for free along with the advantage of finishing his item early with no real penalty. He is also able to purchase 3 potions on top of this.

This is simply not fair.

Either assassins get a starting doran item or Zed be punished for building a base lvl item at the start of the game like any other champ.

Ex. If a mage starts with item 1052, they would have about 540 HP, and no mana sustain in lane. They would be at a serious disadvantage.

he is built to kill mages

and item 3157 nearly removes his ability to target you in the mid game

Did you even read the title, or anything, or are you LeeSin who assumes what he will say?

He is getting punished. Health potions are pretty much throwing gold away with no return.

Except high elo players always start refillable on him. Which is far from a waste.

They don't. They start 3 pots

Here's an xPeke match

Here's Shiphtur

Dopa starting longsword 3 pots

Pretty much all of them. Might wanna do at least basic fact checking before making claims like that

Congrats! You found 3 individual cases that were all likely in losing lanes where they needed the extra 150 health.

Wow it looks like almost very single high ELO zed player starts 3 pots. Congrats on being wrong! Also, refillable vs 3 pots is a 200 HP difference

No? They let you stay in lane more = farm more.

he doesnt have 600 base hp and he is a melee champ ofc he should have more than a mage he is already bad and you want to nerf him even more are you kidding me?

He most likely got the health shard while most mages would get the armor one to lower his damage.

Zed also might have a higher base health pool than most mages out there. And that is because mages/marksmen are ranged and don’t normally let a melee just walk up to them and auto attack them (not something like zed using w or any other gapclosers to get close). Melee champs usually have slightly more resistances like health, armor and MR because they can get poked a lot easier than ranged champs.

The issue is he has 2 gap closers. So the melee disadvantage doesn’t really apply to him.

Read carefully again. I said just walking up, no dashes or anything to gapclose. And he doesn’t usually get his W until lvls 2 or 3, so there is plenty of time for a ranged champ to poke him with spells and auto attacks. And his w is on a super high CD (20 sec or more at rank 1), which again gives the ranged champ another chance to poke him and also engage and kill zed before his w comes back up.

So I think that the melee disadvantage does apply to him as much as immobile melees or other champs with a very long CD dash/mobility spell.

No zed will ever do any of that. They will always sit and farm with w until level 2. No melee assassin is just going to run at you without any kind of mobility. So no. The melee is not that big of a hinderencd.

Don't necessarily think it's unfair, but I'm a bit biased since I am a zed main. He gets poked down being in a ranged vs melee matchup most of the time, so he kind of needs that extra health. I've heard the "Hes ranged cuz of w and q so this doesn't apply to him" crap, but his w is on 22 second cooldown and his q does less damage than an auto when you're behind minions. This is just how league works, melee champions tend to get more health than ranged as they get poked down more.
