Ekko needs a reset.

Take his passive dmg and shift it to a reset on his e. You build ekko tank for the same reason akali is tank. Because base dmg + lack of safety.

Giving him the reset makes him safer by helping him get to his w after proccing passive and my making a squishy melee champion more mobile. We have some anti mobility spells in the game. Giving him a dash reset is going to be ok. You can champ select against him.

What you are gainiing is that you wont see tank ekko dealing 200 magic dmg to your adc every three seconds while perma slowing them. Ive heard ppl say that the iceborn proc is what makes him deadly. I dont think so. If iceborn procs made tanks overpowered like ekko is, then it would be iceborn that needs nerfs not ekko. The fact is, his passive is just free dmg+mobility+a slow. Need to remove the dmg while helping out his ap builds.

The reset does this. Might not be somethiing you like, but riot is going to give you some tools to stop his dash soon and idk how you are going to stop tank ekko otherwise. If you dont shift the base dmg, hes just going to become useless because you have to nerf it otherwise. I say you shift it in a way that makes his kit more effective and cohesive in squishy builds rather than making his burst more deadly by adding better ap scalings.

Here's a better idea. Cut all his bases in half (or by two thirds) and improve his scaling by just as much.

That way, he can either build tank and have no damage, or build like an AP assassin and be an AP assassin.

then he isnt as fun. his fun comes from the fact that you have to outplay people and analyze the situation. If you improve his scaling, then either he just oneshots ppl lategame with a q e combo, or he lacks the earlygame dmg to get going.

Your idea isnt better, its just simple and so thats what you want. If we always accepted what was simple, then we wouldnt have computers to play this game on. He needs 0 passive dmg and a reset on his ability.

You'll never get rid of tank Ekko while his base damage is so high. That's what allows him to build full tank, and still be relevant damage-wise.

With his high bases, full tank Ekko will always be better than assassin Ekko, since he's basically a no risk, some reward champion.
