http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/11/1113-pbe-update.html#more the only buff that can make up for the biased animation cancelling removal is to make his W faster because right now he's worthless due to losing what made him even remotely successful.
I like how Zed always receives the nerfs other assassins should get because pretty much all of them kill you without any kind of reaction being allowed.

no this has to due with the nerf zed recieved to his W's speed long ago which was only warranted because he saw play in competitive, if his W actually traveled how it used to then they could get away with this nerf but it's still slow asf.
As of right now he is currently one of the weakest assassins in the game and his core item got nerfed too.
